📚 BOOK WEEK | A SYMPHONY OF STORIES 🎶

📖 Last week, we celebrated Book Week and our love of books, reading and the stories that inspire us! 📖✨

🎭 Our K–6 students brought their favourite book characters to life for our amazing Book Week Parade, while some of our Secondary students also got into the spirit with their fantastic costumes.

✍️ We were also delighted to welcome Melissa Garside Author, who shared her love of reading and how she creates such amazing characters, like Lexie Moon, before reading an excerpt from her book Lexie Moon & the Word Burgling Bungle. 📚

💙 Thank you to our families for helping create such wonderful costumes, and to our teachers and staff for getting into the Book Week spirit!

🎠 We’re counting down to one of our favourite days of the year – the Mater Dei School Country Fair, coming up on Sunday 25 October from 9am–3pm!

🌟 With FREE ENTRY, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, including over 50 market stalls, delicious food trucks, BBQ, rides, Devonshire Tea, Chocolate Wheel, raffle prizes and our much-loved Ex-Student Reunion!

🦸 A Superhero Visit for Book Week 🦸

📚 Our students had a super time yesterday when Batman swooped into Mater Dei School in the Batmobile to help us celebrate Book Week!

🦇 From reading stories and answering questions about Gotham’s supervillains to shooting hoops on the COLA and showing off his crime-fighting speed in some running races, Batman certainly made this Book Week magical!

🙌 Thank you Batmobile Australia for joining us. It was a heroic day filled with books, laughter and plenty of superhero fun!

✝️ A number of our students recently had the blessing of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. In a quiet and prayerful time, they reflected on God’s love and were reminded of the fresh start God offers each of us.

🤝 We’re grateful to Fr Hung from St Paul's Parish, Camden, who supported the students as they took this important step in their faith journey.

🔬 Last week, our students thoroughly enjoyed Science Week by getting curious, asking questions and exploring the world around them through a range of fun and informative activities with Mrs Twine!

🪴 This year’s theme, ‘Seeds of Science: Nurturing knowledge for all’, celebrates curiosity and inquiry, helping our scientific understanding grow through the world of seeds.

👨‍🔬 From examining different types of seeds to germinating seeds in our own ‘gardens in a glove’, our students were busy planting their own seeds of science!

🎭 On Friday evening, our students were so excited to be back performing live on stage at our Performing Arts Night, and what a wonderful performance it was!

🙌 Thank you to all of our parents, families and friends who joined us on Friday, stomping feet and clapping hands to the beat as our students shone on stage!

🎶 Back On Stage Once Again! 🎶

🥁 After a two-year break, our students were thrilled to be back on stage in front of an incredible audience for our Performing Arts Night matinee yesterday! It was a fantastic show filled with energy, excitement, talent and inspiring beats!

💙 A heartfelt thank you to all who joined us and supported our performers today - Sally Quinnell MP, students and staff from St Paul's Catholic Primary School, Camden and Magdalene Catholic College, Narellan, residents from Wivenhoe Village, participants and staff from NextPath Continuous Learning, therapists from NextPath Assessment & Therapy, plus our families and other special guests. We hope you all enjoyed the show!
