Macarthur Preschool is hosting National Pyjama Day tomorrow, 24th July, and on Tuesday, 27th July. This will raise much-needed funds for children in foster care. The funds raised will go towards educational training for volunteers who provide resources and educational support for children in care. Families can either use the link below to donate or alternatively donate a gold coin at the service tomorrow.

Over the last few months, Maree has been phasing into retirement after 30 years of dedicated service at Macarthur Preschool.

Affectionately known as our very own “glitter fairy,” Maree brought joy, laughter, and a touch of sparkle to Macarthur Preschool every single day. Her love of creativity inspired countless children, who enjoyed crafting, exploring, and learning by her side. She was also known for causing a ruckus by glitter-bombing others when they were distracted (we were never able to pull this off on her!).

Beyond the glitter and creativity, Maree’s commitment and professionalism have been truly exceptional. She was always organised, reliable, and took great pride in ensuring our environment was neat, welcoming, and a beautiful place for children to learn and grow. Her dedication to the children, families, and educators of Macarthur Preschool has made a lasting impact that will be felt for many years to come.

As Maree transitions into retirement, it is no surprise that she continues to give so generously of her time and talents. Volunteering at a local nursing home, she is now bringing joy and companionship to the older members of our community—spreading the same warmth and creativity that we have all been so lucky to experience.

Maree, thank you for all that you have given to Macarthur Preschool over the past 30 years. Your passion, care, and sparkle have left an enduring legacy. We wish you a long, happy, and healthy retirement filled with new adventures and continued fun.

A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated the wonderful mums and special women in the lives of the children in our care. We enjoyed a lovely Paint and Play evening, where families created beautiful canvases together, spent time playing, and shared a delicious pizza dinner.

Thank you to everyone who attended, we had a wonderful evening with you all. 🩷

We would like to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of three remarkable ladies who have served our parent committee. Through their 3-4 years of service in various roles, they have consistently demonstrated dedication and commitment. Holly and Ashleigh's decision to continue serving during our anniversary year is a testament to their ongoing commitment, even after their children have moved on. Their collective input has significantly impacted our preschool's future, and their role in our decision-making processes has been deeply appreciated.
