A day care child noticed me making afternoon tea, and wanted to feel like part of the group. He gave me very clear instructions on how to turn his afternoon tea into looking like ours. Was so cute 😍
When children feel included, they are more likely to be accepting of others and sensitive to their needs, and they feel safer and more secure. The best learning happens when children see the adults around them putting values like care, compassion, respect, understanding and inclusion into practice.

Huge day out. We started at Mary cairncross reserve where we got at discovery pack. The children enjoyed writing done everything they could see. We then got chips In landsborough and ate them at the pioneer park, followed by a play.

Today we noticed these markings along our walk, The children discussed a whole range of things they could be for. As we continued on our Walk, a council worker went past with a surveyors wheel. I asked the children if they knew what it was, which Angus did and told the children it was to measure The rest of the children learnt something new and the worker stopped and spoke to them about it and how it measures in metres. Andre then felt confident to ask him what these pink markings were for? The worker told the children that they are putting a new boardwalk in and these markings represented where the polls will be. The children replied with “ahh” and were quite pleased they found out the answer after discussing what they were.

Setting up their own play space- You will notice when children engage in this way of playing, they will start to ask themselves the question 'what if?'
a indication they are challenging themselves. These simple things are constantly stimulating a child's brain, hence, aiding their education. Playing with a variety of building and creative products helps children build self-confidence and encourages their independent learning too.
