It’s that time of the term 🎣 .ccps sign up 👌 the co-curricular activity everyone wants to be in. With the increase in number we will be fishing 5 day a week during the school lunch breaks 👌🎣.

finding the fish again 🎣👌. This time venturing to the pristine conditions of Ewen Maddock dam and finding those freshwater bass 🐟. Ewen Maddock stock many freshwater species, ensuring you check the requirements of a Stock impounded permit (SIP). Definitely a place worth checking out over the school holidays 👌.

What a catch 👌🔥. A three hour fight on 30lb worth all the effort. Our three CCPS students shared the fight which will definitely be added to the memory bank 🎣. Excellent work on the solid yellow fin 👌. With still another week of holiday left, what else are the FishTales crew going to catch 👌🎣.

“Huge pb and dream fish for me today getting a 90cm mulloway on 8lb line in Noosa. This fish just took off. Had to follow it around for a bit to get it up using the whiting setup going for the smaller mulloway and surprised by losing one earlier on by pulling the hook. Then hrs later coming back to the spot and hooking into this river monster. Scanned the school and lost 7 of them this size in 2 days — but landed one and a 80cm queen.”

at it again. What a way to start the long weekend 🎣. This time with some Shark 🦈 bycatch while baiting for Barra 🐟.

A few quality catches from our anglers outside of school 🎣👌. The Trevs have been on fires this week with the incoming tide producing good results. Smithy was searching and Haines was on the hunt today, and they definitely found some fish. , .fish and lures have been the lures of choice this week.

Education and innovation is such a key part of FishTales at CCPS. Here we have another initiative run by our keen anglers which is setting up worm farms 🪱. Our hope is to use the worms as bait for the removal of tilapia 🎣 which are in the river at the back of the school. Also these worm farms will help to recycle ♻️ some of the food scraps left over from lunchtime and provide worm juice for the school’s permaculture garden 🪴.

Congratulations to young Will on winning the first FishTales.CCPS Cap. His 85cm Barramundi during the holidays and secured the victory.
