🧪🔥 THAT’S A WRAP ON SCIENCE WEEK 2026! 🔥🧪
What. A. SCIENCE. Week.
Our Science classrooms were absolutely buzzing as students got involved in a week packed with demos, workshops, challenges, experiments and a healthy dose of competition! 🧬⚡🔬
From navigating magnetic mazes, to engineering challenges, spectacular demonstrations and The Great Cone Drop — our students were busy predicting, testing, designing, problem-solving and, most importantly, having a go.
Students collected stamps in their Science Week Passports for every activity they completed, with some serious competition emerging for those all-important challenge wins!
But the best part wasn't the stamps or the prizes.
It was seeing students crowding into Science at lunchtime, bringing their friends along, asking “What are we doing tomorrow?”, trying something new, arguing about whose design would work best, and discovering that science is so much more than what happens in a textbook.
A HUGE thank you to our incredible Science Ambassadors, laboratory technicians, teachers and students who helped plan, prepare, demonstrate, supervise, reset, clean up and bring the whole week to life. Events like this take an enormous team effort, and we couldn't have done it without you.
And to every student who came upstairs and got involved — thank you for making Science Week such a success!

She then performed a ballet variation and contemporary solo at the prestigious Sydney Eisteddfod Ballet Gala, held at the Sydney Opera House last Sunday, in front of a full audience and a panel of world-renowned judges.

Happy Speech Pathology Week!

This Speech Pathology Week, we celebrate our incredible Speech-Language Pathologists - Brooke, Liz and Christina - and the difference they make every day.

This year’s theme “Communication creates possibility” is a wonderful reminder of how communication helps students learn, connect, participate and thrive.

Thank you for your expertise, care and commitment to our students and school community. We appreciate everything you do!

Last week, our Open Girls Basketball team competed in the four-day CBSQ Shield Tournament, taking on schools from across Queensland.

The girls represented Stretton with plenty of heart, determination and pride throughout the tournament. With such a young group, there are plenty of exciting years ahead for this team. Well done students and coaches!
