We all have ideas...
What if we helped turn YOUR idea into real IMPACT?

We are looking for JCU students, researchers, staff, and alumni who alone or in teams with each other, or with members of the community, want to discover and unlock the potential of their idea and turn it into social, environmental or economical impact.

Learn over 6 weeks how to engage in creative design thinking, validate your idea, develop a product / service starting point, and present your idea with impact and influence to others. In the final pitch event of the program, you will get feedback on your idea and may even be eligible for ongoing mentor support.

Apply for this free online program by 21 August via https://lnkd.in/eBvYTuWw
(requires the provision of JCU credentials).

Are you a member of the community interested to participate in this program but don't have the necessary JCU affiliation? Send us a DM or email (on image) with your idea and enquiry.

We were stoked to have a replica of the original KITT from the 80' show "Knight Rider" at the JCU Ideas Lab today! KITT82 is a true Cairns local and has been kitted out with IoT sensors, biometric technology, and - of course - the original voice and soundtrack! (watch the video with sound to hear for yourself).
But KITTs owner Demelza doesn't stop here. Being born vision impaired, her aspiration is to make KITT a fully autonomous vehicle. "Back in the 80's KITT was a vehicle of the future, and my dream today is to make KITT a vehicle of our future". Conversations are already running hot how we can collaborate to make this possible!
