This National #ScienceWeek, we've launched a new round of Engaging Science Grants, offering up to $25,000 per project to support teachers, scientists and community groups to 👇 🔬 Run events and activities that inspire students to study STEM subjects and promote STEM careers. 📢 Engage with the wider community to increase awareness of the amazing science happening in Queensland. 🌱 Deliver projects, including citizen science, that grow community engagement with scientists. ⚠️ Projects that integrate science participation into nature-based tourism are highly encouraged. 👉 Projects should seek to provide meaningful scientific interactions with nature, preserve biodiversity, understand visitor behaviour, or explore cultural ecological knowledge through engagement with First Nations peoples. The Engaging Science Grants aim to foster stronger connections between scientists and the community, making science more accessible and engaging for all Queenslanders. Head to the comments to apply!

Hosted by the Cairns AI Hub in collaboration with the JCU Ideas Lab. This event, titled "Physical AI celebrates the fusion of cutting-edge artificial intelligence and real-world hardware systems, spotlighting Cairns as a growing hub for next-generation innovation.

What if we helped turn YOUR idea into real IMPACT?

We are looking for JCU students, researchers, staff, and alumni who alone or in teams with each other, or with members of the community, want to discover and unlock the potential of their idea and turn it into social, environmental or economical impact.

Learn over 6 weeks how to engage in creative design thinking, validate your idea, develop a product / service starting point, and present your idea with impact and influence to others. In the final pitch event of the program, you will get feedback on your idea and may even be eligible for ongoing mentor support.
