❤️ Love Lives Here ❤️

What an incredible 12 months (financial year) it has been at Cuddles East Byford!

As we reflect on the past year, we are so proud of everything we have achieved together as a community.

✨ We proudly achieved a Meeting rating across all seven Quality Areas during our Assessment and Rating visit.
✨ We welcomed some wonderful new educators to our team, including Beth, Hannah, Divya, Janna, Adrienne, Bridget and Juvy, each bringing their own passion, knowledge and care to our service.
✨ We also welcomed so many beautiful new families and children into our Cuddles community, watching new friendships blossom and our family continue to grow.
✨ We are incredibly grateful for our long-standing educators who continue to bring consistency, experience, and genuine care to our service. Their dedication has helped shape the warm and welcoming community that Cuddles East Byford is today.
✨ We installed new patio areas in our outdoor environments, creating more opportunities for children to enjoy outdoor play in comfort throughout the year.
✨ We welcomed a second bus to our fleet, allowing us to expand our Outside School Hours Care service and support even more local families.
✨ We held two successful Parent Nights, strengthening our partnerships with families and creating valuable opportunities to celebrate each child’s learning and development.

And that’s just the beginning the list of achievements goes on!

None of this would have been possible without the trust and support of our incredible families. Whether you’ve been with us since day one or have only recently joined our Cuddles family, thank you for choosing Cuddles East Byford and allowing us the privilege of caring for, nurturing, and educating your most precious gifts each and every day.

Table activities are so much more than just fun they provide valuable learning opportunities for children every day! 💛

Through puzzles, drawing, threading, playdough, games, and craft experiences, children are developing:

🎨 Creativity and imagination
🤝 Turn-taking, sharing, and communication

Evacuation Week at East Byford 🔥 💨 📞🧯👷‍♀️🦺

This week at East Byford, we participated in Evacuation Week, where each day we practised a different emergency scenario to help children and educators become familiar with our safety procedures.

Throughout the week, children engaged in age-appropriate discussions about safety, what to expect during an emergency, and the important role they play in listening to educators and following instructions. We practised a variety of scenarios to ensure everyone felt confident and prepared should an emergency ever occur.

The children did an amazing job remaining calm, listening carefully, and following directions. These experiences help build children’s understanding of safety, resilience, and confidence while supporting our commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all.

We are incredibly proud of how well the children and educators participated throughout the week. Safety is always a priority at East Byford, and regular practice ensures we are prepared to respond effectively in any situation. 🚨🦺😊

**Becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister 🦒👶**

With so many exciting changes happening in our daycare community, we’ve been spending time talking with the children about what it means to become a big brother or big sister.

Many of our families, especially in our Giraffe Room, are eagerly awaiting the arrival of new babies over the coming months. As we prepare to welcome our future little Hippos, we’re supporting the children through these family changes by encouraging conversations about babies, growing families, and the important role they will play as older siblings.

Through stories, discussions, and play experiences, we’re helping children express their thoughts and feelings, build understanding, and celebrate this exciting new chapter in their families’ lives.

We can’t wait to meet all of our newest little Hippos soon! 💙🩷👣

Our children enjoyed a delicious, fresh fruit salad today, lovingly prepared by our amazing cook, Bridget! 💕👩‍🍳

Packed full of colourful, nutritious fruits, it was a wonderful way to encourage healthy eating while giving our little learners the energy they need for a fun-filled day of exploring, playing and learning. 🌈✨

🌊 Happy Friday! 🌊
Today we celebrated World Ocean Day by exploring a beautiful ocean-themed taste-safe sensory tray. Through hands-on sensory play, the children used their senses to discover different textures, colours, and materials while engaging in imaginative play and conversations about the ocean and the creatures that live there.
Sensory experiences like these support children’s cognitive development, language skills, fine motor coordination, curiosity, and confidence as they explore the world around them.
We were also lucky to have one of our Hippo Room parents join us for parent engagement. It was wonderful to see families connecting and learning alongside the children. We can’t tell who had more fun—the children or the adults! 💙🐠🐚
