ππΊ Last week, our Prep students had a wonderful time attending the Year 9 Dance Concert in the Theatrette at the College.
Each year, our Preps are invited to enjoy this special performance, giving them the opportunity to watch the talented dancers, experience the creative choreography, and enjoy the music in a live theatre setting.
A big thank you to the Year 9 students for sharing their talents and putting on such an entertaining show. Our Preps loved every minute of it! πΆβ¨
We are also very grateful to Mrs Mel Howe and Ms Mitchell for the invitation and for providing our students with this special opportunity each year.

πΆ Our Year 3 and 4 students have been learning the recorder in Music lessons!
Students have been developing their listening skills, rhythm, finger placement and confidence while learning to play simple songs and melodies. It has been wonderful to see their persistence and enthusiasm as they continue building their musical skills each week.
Donβt worry families, you wonβt miss out on hearing the recorder skills at home later in the yearβ¦ itβs the gift that keeps on giving! π΅ π

This term in Science, Year 4 have been exploring the world of forces!
In this lesson, students investigated friction and how it affects motion by pushing toy cars across a variety of surfaces around the school. From smooth floors to rougher textures, they quickly discovered that not all surfaces are created equal when it comes to how far and fast things move.
There was plenty of predicting, testing, and comparing as students observed how different materials change the movement of the cars. A fun way to bring scientific thinking to life! ππ¨
