Yesterday, Year 3 and 4 students had the wonderful opportunity to meet author Tina Strachan, who came in to talk about her Wilder Zoo series. ๐พ๐
Tina shared her experiences working with animals and explained how the knowledge and experiences she gained have helped inspire and shape her books.
Our students have been enjoying the Wilder Zoo series during Library time, so it was fantastic to hear directly from the author and learn more about the stories and the real-life experiences behind them!

Year 2 students have enjoyed blending their love of Mem Foxโs stories with their growing knowledge of Australiaโs states and territories! ๐ฆ๐บ๐
The classroom was full of lively conversations as students made connections between familiar characters, settings and the places they know across Australia.
Of course, no discussion about Australia would be complete without some strong opinions on Vegemite! ๐ Mrs Balym and Mrs Friend were quick to insist that itโs simply un-Australian to go without the classic spread in your lunchbox!
What a fun way to bring stories, geography and a little Aussie spirit together! ๐๐
