HIPPY’s Next Gathering – Excursion Days

Our next HIPPY gathering will be a little different, with our two cohorts enjoying their own special excursion days.

Tuesday, 18th August – Age 3 Cohort
Our Age 3 HIPPY children will be heading to Funny Bunnies for a morning of fun, play and adventure.

Wednesday, 19th August – Age 4 Cohort
Our Age 4 HIPPY children will be heading to VietJess Farm for a fun-filled day of exploring, learning and enjoying the farm.

We’re looking forward to spending some special time together and making lots of wonderful memories.

We can’t wait for two fun-filled days.

This year’s theme, Living Our Truth, recognises the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children growing up strong in who they are — connected to family, culture, community and Country.

At CQID, this is at the heart of everything we do.

Today we celebrate the strength, voices and potential of our children, and we acknowledge the families, kin, carers, Elders, communities and staff who nurture, protect and walk beside them every day.

As an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation, we know our children thrive when culture is strong, families are supported and community leads the way.

Our theme will be National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Children's Day. This special day is officially celebrated on 4 August, but as our gathering falls on 5 August, we'll be celebrating together on Wednesday instead.

We can't wait to see you all for a fun morning of activities, learning, and celebrating our amazing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and cultures. ❤️💛🖤💚💙
