Thank you to 5S for leading us in Courtyard Prayer this week. Their focus for our prayer was on the Blessed Virgin Mary. Together we reflected on Mary’s faithful “yes” to God and the hope that she brings to our community. We paused to give thanks, to pray for one another, and to entrust our intentions to God through Mary’s prayers.

All families are invited to join us for the pinnacle of our Book Week activities: Reading on the Deck on Friday August 28 at 10.30am. We look forward to welcoming everyone, it’s always lovely to see so many parents and grandparents come along to read with the children. Students are encouraged to wear an accessory, outfit or costume that gives a hint about their favourite book. A sausage sizzle will be available for students and families at a cost of $2ea.

This month’s Parish Mass with children is on Sunday, August 23. 9.00am at St Patrick’s Church. Everyone is welcome.

We love that small acts can go a long way. Thank you to the wonderful Meals on Wheels staff who also donated meal vouchers to assist our Mini Vinnies Team efforts for their Winter Appeal.

That's exactly what the wonderful students from St Patrick's Catholic Primary School Bundaberg have done.

A big thank you to the students for creating beautiful handmade cards and donating chocolates for our amazing Meals on Wheels volunteers. A special thank you to Mrs Cook, who kindly dropped everything off for us.

These thoughtful gifts will be shared with our incredible volunteers.
It's wonderful to see young people recognising the value of volunteering and finding their own way to say "thank you." Small acts of kindness like these remind us that supporting those who serve is also an important way of strengthening our community.

All families are warmly invited to join us for our Fathers’ Day Prayer Celebration at 9:00am on Thursday 3 September in the Multi. Year 3 will lead us in thanksgiving for the gift of fathers, grandfathers, and father-figures in our community, and to ask God’s blessing upon them. Please don’t forget to send in a “Dad and Me” photo to the school office (one per family) for inclusion in the celebration.
We look forward to praying and celebrating together.

Year 6L led us in Courtyard Prayer this week, with a special focus on Catholic Social Teaching. Together we reflected on how we can live the Gospel through respect for every person’s dignity, care for God’s creation, and a commitment to the common good—especially standing with those who are vulnerable. They challenged us to be people of compassion, justice and hope.
