This year, Children’s Week is inspired by Article 30 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), recognising every child’s right to use their own language, celebrate their culture and practise their religion.
At Bears and Books, we are celebrating children from all around the world! Each day, we will explore a different topic, encouraging our children to embrace diversity, celebrate differences and develop a sense of belonging.
Day 2- Stories from around the world.
Today, we had a variety of stories from different children's cultures and extended on the story with activities.
The Big Race- following on from this book, we had our very own tins we used to make our own toys for racing.
Who saw turtle- a wonderful book that allowed us to create our own turtle tuff tray to explore.
Tari- A beautiful book about a different culture where costumes and dancing are appreciated
