📍 A quick update to our business details

You may notice that our page now shows an updated address and that Australis Wood Studio is listed as temporarily closed.

As we are currently between workshop locations, we’ve updated our business details to show our postal address. This is not a new workshop location and we are not currently open to the public.

Unfortunately, we have been unable to return to our previous workshop premises or secure another suitable location just yet, so our equipment and workshop have been moved into temporary storage while we continue looking for the right space.

Australis Wood Studio isn’t disappearing – we’re just without a workshop for the moment. 💛

We’ll be sharing a video update later today with a little more about where things are at, what has happened, and what comes next.

Like many in our local community, we’ve been impacted by the recent weather events and are now working through what comes next for the studio.

While this means we’ll be closed for the remainder of the term, we’re focusing on finding the best possible path forward so we can reopen in a space that is safe, functional, and aligned with the experience we want to provide.

We’re so grateful for the support, kindness, and understanding we’ve already received — it truly means the world to our family and our small business.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE NOTICE

Due to the current severe weather conditions and expected flooding in our area, Australis Wood Studio will be temporarily closed until further notice.

Our team is currently working to secure equipment, materials, and the studio space as we prepare for potential inundation affecting our local catchment.

There is a possibility that this weather event may result in damage or loss to parts of our studio and operations, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while we assess and manage the situation.

Please be aware that responses to messages and enquiries may be delayed over the coming days as our focus is on safety and recovery.

Swap screen time for maker time! Our workshop sessions get teenagers building awesome projects, learning practical skills, and having a great time in a safe, supportive space.

🍂 Something new is taking shape in the workshop…

We’re currently designing our Autumn Holiday Workshop Series at Australis Wood Studio.

This season will include:
• hands-on builds
• creative craft projects
• a few things we’ve never offered before

And for these holidays, we’re planning something a little different — with workshops suitable for a wider range of ages than usual.

We’re not revealing the projects just yet… but they’re going to be good.

Keep an eye on this space — the full program will be announced soon.
