this page has been set up to share the works of those who pass through the TDD weave studios at RMIT. and to also celebrate the studio itself, a remarkable series of spaces filled with beautiful looms and weaving equipment.

as a first post, we've decided to share this blogpost from one of our talented alumni, carla grbac. though the post is from 2011, the sentiments carla describes are timeless and resonate for all who enjoy the solitude of weaving. the vast amounts of time preparing warps, setting up loom itself, drafting patterns, tieing up treadles, winding bobbins and then the weaving itself. enjoy!
