However, the Play Parties will continue, and are now under the name The Practice Lab (https://www.praclab.com.au/) (and are an evolution of the Curiosity playspace). *Curious Creatures hosts workshops and events on s*xuality, personal empowerment and spectacularly good communication skills. Our events run in Australia and online (plus there are pre-recorded versions, to access anytime).

Hey folks,

Thanks for your interest in Curious Creatures.
Over the course of ~12 years, I've taught up to 20 different workshops at a time, with >20,000 enrolments, guest presenters, interstate and international activities, as well as writing articles, doing public speaking, and running a podcast (itself having >20,000 listeners). The core messages have been around communication, relationship skills, s*x-positivity, and self-awareness.
It has been wild. It has been an honour to hold space for so many of you, and I am very proud of us all. I have a solid sense of satisfaction, and I know from feedback that it's brought a lot of benefit.
It's also been a supremely challenging sector to be a leader in; in this age of polarised social media politics and separatism, it's become almost a sport to take down leaders, especially s*xuality leaders, and especially ones that present like me. I don't choose that life for myself anymore, so I'm going to be finding different things to do, and do them in different ways.
To that end, I finished up my workshops earlier this year. For the moment, there's still a few ancillary things (the Consent Cards, recordings) on the old website. I've sold 'The Practice Lab' - the event that looks like a play-party, but is actually about community and self development - and we're getting towards the final stages of handover as at the time of writing.
I will be continuing my podcast, Curious Conversations About S*x, at least for the time being. I may do an episode soon with more detail around why I'm stepping down.

I won't be doing anything commercial in this same sector going forwards, but if I do things that might be relevant, I'll notify those of you on my mailing list.
In due course, I'll close this page completely, although I might make occasional courtesy posts in the meanwhile about The Practice Lab.

Again, thanks for your support and interest over the years. It has been a spectacularly interesting world to share with you, and I'm so glad that a friend and I took that first step, 12 years ago, to offer to share a few things we'd learned. It was the best kind of slippery slope from there.

The Practice Lab Play Party

The Practice Lab (www.praclab.com.au)- Play party, education and community experience

The Practice Lab (www.praclab.com.au) is an extraordinary event and community. It includes a s*x party, which is plenty of fun by itself. But it extends to education, community, creativity, empowerment, and high standards that come together in ways that are often life-changing.

The Practice Lab (www.praclab.com.au) is not for everyone. Once you’ve read more about the event to make sure it’s right for you, there’s an application that takes about five minutes, and here’s the beginning of the gold: We don’t simply throw people in the deep end and hope for the best, since that rarely works. Instead, you first come to a pre-workshop (“Workshop One: preparing for your first event”) where we help you discover what your interests and limitations are, and ensure that everyone is on precisely the same page when it comes to the theory and practice of boundaries and safety. We talk about what to expect, and what our expectations are. The workshop is a lot of fun, trauma-informed, and a great stand-alone communication and consent training.

With those things in place, the resultant creativity, freedom, and safety at both our parties and many other community events is globally renowned.

The Lab is absolutely radical in its inclusion of ethical reference points, which include the s*xual revolution, gender inclusivity, and communication and consent skills.
