Love seeing outcomes like this! Work experience can be a real turning point for students. Well done, Ash, on creating such a positive opportunity. We're always happy to help schools connect students with meaningful work experience placements.
π¨π From Work Experience to School-Based Apprenticeship! π¨π
Ash is a perfect example of how work experience can open doors!!!
After seeing a work experience opportunity shared by our Industry Liaison Officer, Ash jumped at the chance and dedicated the entire two weeks of the June/July school holidays to gaining hands-on experience with CBN Contracting.
Campbell and the team at CBN Contracting were so impressed with his willingness to learn that they didn't want to let him go! Ash has now secured a School-Based Apprenticeship in Carpentry and, after graduating Year 12 in November, will transition into a full-time apprenticeship.
Congratulations, Ash! Your hard work, initiative and positive attitude have truly paid off. We can't wait to see where your carpentry career takes you.
A huge thank you to Campbell and the team at CBN Contracting for investing in the next generation of tradespeople and providing Ash with this incredible opportunity.
We'd also like to give a special shout-out to Jasmin from Inscope Training and Tania from MEGT for your support in helping Ash on his career pathway.
This is exactly why work experience matters. It builds skills, confidence, connections and can lead directly to employment opportunities.
π Well done, Ash! Your future is looking bright.

Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of welcoming The Hon. Amanda Stoker MP, Assistant Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training and Russell Field MP, State Member for Capalaba to our Capalaba Training Centre.
The visit was a great opportunity to discuss how Inscope Training is supporting apprentices, school students and employers through our training hubs, VET in Schools programs and industry partnerships.
We shared how our hubs in locations such as the Gold Coast, Deception Bay and Nambour help students access important practical training that may not be available through their workplace alone. We also discussed future opportunities to expand school partnerships and strengthen pathways into construction careers.
Weβre proud to support students in building rewarding careers in the construction industry, guiding them from their first White Card through to apprenticeship, licensing and long-term career success, backed by a strong network of industry employers.
Thank you to Amanda and Russell for your interest in vocational education and for taking the time to tour our facilities and learn more about the work we do.
