Last week, we launched the Micah Projects Growing Together: Emerging Leaders Program.
This exciting new initiative is designed to support the next generation of leaders to build confidence, capability and connection, and continue embedding Shared Leadership in every part of Micah Projects.
💡So why Shared Leadership?
This forward-thinking, evidence-based approach to leading is part of a broader shift from hierarchy to humanity.
It means leadership doesn’t sit with one person or role. It’s distributed, relational, and responsive. It reflects the complexity of our current world, and the reality that no one leads alone... all of us are vital to create sustainable change.
At the heart of Growing Together is the idea of emergence: that the future isn’t fixed. Rather, new possibilities are constantly emerging, shaped by how we grow and lead together.
👉 You can read more about it on my blog:
https://hayleylinthwaite.com/latest/f/growing-together-emerging-leaders-program
The ELP is just one part of a bigger journey at Micah Projects, supporting their work across community service areas to create justice and respond to injustice. Well done to the team for your vision and hard work in pulling this together.
We'll keep you posted as it all unfolds!
📚P.S Also thrilled to finally present our bespoke Shared Leadership Charters; which we've been busily building in the background, co-designed with Micah Projects and brought to life with a little magic from Sirena Varma & Jocelyn Hanna! 🙌🙌🙌

Six weeks in, there’s a thrilling sense of “it’s really happening.”

🚀 Explored seizing entrepreneurial opportunity, and candid creative career insights with Adam Brunes
🚀 Unpacked brand beyond the logo with Jaime Kiss and the power of bold moves with Deborah Caruso
🚀 Drew parallels between art curation and business creation at UniSC Art Gallery with Megan Williams
🚀 Explored partnerships that last with Carly Forrest
🚀 Got stuck into the systems, processes and numbers side of the business with Fiona Killackey

R|7.0 is back!
The Refinery’s 10-week Creative Business Incubator is underway for 2025, and I’m thrilled to return as Program Facilitator.
I can't believe we've already wrapped Week 2!
Last week kicked off with a deep dive into vertical development, led by returning coach Alis Anagnostakis of the Vertical Development Institute. Our new cohort began to explore not just what they do, but who they are becoming as creative leaders, and what is required to develop greater complexity, maturity and wisdom in their journeys of growth.
This week, participants shared the heart and soul of their creative businesses through personal artefacts and we welcomed some of our program mentors.
Immersed in the beautiful surrounds of Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens, we stepped into our relationship with Country, guided by Elder-in-Residence Aunty Helena Gulash.
We explored regenerative leadership: how leaders - in how they lead and in their creative work - relate and contribute to the greater whole. To land, to time, to each other. It isn’t about fixing systems out there. It’s about seeing clearly how we’ve been part of the damage, and to shift our intentions and our creative choices towards reconnection.
There's so much more to come! I can't wait to share it with you.
