Five years on, back where it all began! 💙❤️
The OBGS was delighted to welcome the Class of 2021 back to BGS for their five-year reunion last Friday night. After the disruption of lockdowns during their final two years at school, it was especially meaningful to see such a strong turnout and bring everyone together again. The boys enjoyed catching up with some of their teachers too.
We loved hearing where life has taken them since Year 12, from study and work to travel and new experiences. As they find their feet and explore what comes next, the OBGS is proud to support them through the many programs we offer.
To the Class of 2026 preparing to head beyond the school gates: we look forward to supporting you too. You will always be part of this community.

What does it really take to mentally perform under pressure?

To mark Movember, join us under the Oak for a relaxed OBGS breakfast and an open conversation with special guest Old Boys who understand the demands of high performance.

The conversation will explore what high performance really looks like, the barriers that can stop men from speaking openly and the practical ways we can better support ourselves and the people around us.

Expect honest stories, useful insights and practical tools you can apply to your work, relationships and everyday life.

It is also an opportunity to return to BGS, enjoy breakfast under the Oak and reconnect with fellow Old Boys.

Support an Old Boy on the big screen! 🎬
Rupert Evans (OB 2022) is bringing his independent film Bloodlust to Monsterfest on Saturday 3 October – and he’d love to see the BGS community in the audience!
“The feature debut of young Australian filmmakers Matt Michalik and Rupert Evans, BLOODLUST began life as a ten-minute action short made while the pair were still at university before expanding into a 70-minute feature shot over four months with a crew of just four people.
Michalik and Evans wrote, directed, shot and edited the film themselves - and even turn up in front of the camera - creating a stripped-back, impressively physical piece of independent Australian filmmaking that punches considerably above its weight.
Fresh from its World Premiere at London's Raindance Film Festival, BLOODLUST is lean, mean and soaked in brutality - a fine addition to the canon of Australian revenge cinema.”

While the students are away…the Old Boys will lunch!

A beautiful sunny afternoon set the scene for our 50 Years On Luncheon, held for the first time in the magnificent Duigan Centre, while students competed offsite at House Athletics.

Joining the 50 Years On group for the first time, Peter Scott (OB 1976) entertained guests with anecdotes from a career that took him around the world. He also shared fascinating insights into how the BGS buildings and grounds have evolved during his time on School Council.

It was a wonderful afternoon of friendship, memories and connection with each other and their beloved School.

OBGFC Seniors & Ressies Launch Their Finals Campaigns!

If you enjoyed Super Saturday at BGS, there’s more exciting footy to watch this weekend at Trevor Barker Oval!

After earning a week off, our Senior Men and Reserves begin their finals campaigns this Saturday, with both sides facing must-win Semi Finals.

Better still, the games are scheduled back-to-back, giving the Tonner community the perfect opportunity to get behind both teams.
