Gardenvale Primary Centenary Celebrations

Looking forward to celebrating 100 years of learning at Gardenvale Primary/Central School on Nov 11th with a commemorative school assembly.
This will be followed by a walk through the old school buildings, morning tea and memorabilia display. Tickets are $15 which covers the cost of morning tea. The School Council and management team at Gardenvale Primary School invite you to attend our Commemorative Centenary Assembly.
We invite all of our past students, parents, teachers and principals to join us on Friday 11 November 2022 when we pay tribute to our great school.
Tickets are now on sale so please join us for this special assembly followed by tours of the senior campus and morning tea.
Current students and teachers will be present to share in this celebration.
Tables at the morning tea will be clearly signed with each decade from 1920 represented so all past students can find their era. Of course year levels are also welcome to organise their own activities around what we have planned.

Please note: The School Fair will take place the next day on 12 November and will be coordinated around a 100 years theme. Entry is free and no need to RSVP.

The Gardenvale Primary/Central School Centenary Committee is excited to announce the release of limited edition engraved stemless glasses celebrating 100 years of education at our school. These beautiful glasses are available for purchase via Compass Tix.
The glasses are $14 each and are a wonderful memento of this significant event in our school’s history.

As part of the GPS Centenary Gala, we are holding an incredible Art Auction with all funds raised going towards the new Art Room! With a little help from the newly appointed Art captain Mila Hennig (my daughter), we have managed to secure some of the most fantastic Art Pieces from some local (and not so local) highly acclaimed artists! So if you haven’t purchased a ticket for the gala, you still have time! If you see a piece you love (we’ll be showcasing them here over the coming week) and can’t make it on the night, then get a friend to bid on your behalf! ♥️

After a false start due to COVID the event you've been waiting for is here! Enjoy a night to remember when you attend the 100 years of GPS Gala Celebration on 26 March. This fundraiser for the school will feature great live music, a DJ, canapes and a drink on arrival. Limited tickets so gather your crew and book today!

Update on Gardenvale Primary/Central School 100 year celebrations and Community Fair.

GPS is very proud to be celebrating its rich 100 year history in 2021. However due to the continued dynamic COVID-19 situation that our community is facing, and our priority always being the health and well being of our students and families, we have made the difficult decision to delay the Fair and the Centenary Celebrations until 2022. This decision has been made by the Centenary Committee which has representatives from the PFA, school council, staff and parents. As these two events have been designed to align closely with one another, we have decided to postpone them both to 2022. A decision about the new date will be made later in the year by the Committee.

Although we are disappointed to have to move these very important and highly anticipated events, we look forward to being able to run them in an even bigger and better format next year.
