Well… that wasn’t quite what she was expecting! 🤣

And just like that, we’ve reached the end of another magical, slightly chaotic and VERY entertaining Book Week at Bracken Ridge Kindy! 📚✨

A HUGE THANK YOU to all of our amazing families, children and educators who got into the spirit and dressed up this week! 👏🏼💕

We’ve seen some seriously impressive costumes, characters from every corner of the book world, LOTS of books, plenty of storytelling and, of course, a whole lot of magic and mischief! 🪄📖

Book Week is one of our absolute favourite times of the year at BRK. There’s just something special about seeing the children recognise their favourite characters, share stories with their friends and watch their educators transform into some rather questionable book characters! 😂

Chilling like a villain for today’s Book Week antics! 😎🦹‍♀️ Joined by the cutest little fairy 🧚‍♀️ and a cheeky dalmatian 🐾… although the dalmatian keeps running away from me and I have absolutely NO idea why?! 😂

Maybe our fairy friend can work some magic and conjure me up a new hat to complete my outfit! 🎩✨

📖 Books and storytelling are such an important part of early childhood. They build children’s language, vocabulary, imagination and confidence while encouraging them to share ideas, create stories and make connections with the world around them. ❤️

We promise you, no one attempted to steal the moon 🌙 and all the pizza remains safe! 🍕😂

The children all looked amazing in their little outfits and have been busy guessing what their teachers will be dressed up as tomorrow! 📚✨

Book Week is such a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the magic of stories, imagination and the adventures that books can take us on. From favourite characters to new worlds waiting to be explored, there’s always a little bit of magic hiding between the pages. 📖💫

We’re getting ready for our Jumble Sale on Sunday, 13th September and we’d love your help! 💛

We’re seeking donations of good-quality, pre-loved items, including:

🎨 Craft items
👕 Clothes
🧶 Handmade items
👶 Baby items
🧸 Children’s items
🔌 Small appliances

Please ensure all items are clean, in decent condition and, where applicable, in working order.

🤔 Not sure if something is suitable to donate? No worries! If you have something you’d like to donate but aren’t sure whether we can accept it, please reach out to us and have a chat — we’re happy to let you know!

By donating, you’re not only supporting our Kindy, but also helping us keep useful items out of landfill and give them a second life in a new home. ♻️💚

This weekend, our amazing BRK families came together to organise the most wonderful Paint & Sip fundraiser for our Kindy!

From the beautiful set-up and incredible artwork, to the delicious food and gorgeous mocktails, every little detail was so thoughtfully put together. Most importantly, there was so much laughter, connection and fun as we shared a lovely afternoon together. 🥰

A huge thank you to our incredible parents for giving your time, creativity and energy to support our Kindy. We are so incredibly grateful for the beautiful community we have at Bracken Ridge Kindergarten.
