At CHS, we encourage students to pursue their passions.

Year 10 student Josh actively seeks opportunities to develop his craft in photography by volunteering to photograph school events.

Our supportive staff encourage Josh to try new techniques and equipment and help guide Josh to progress his skills and passion for photography.

Josh recently photographed our Athletics Day beautifully, capturing our students' encouragement and amazing efforts on the day.

This is another fine example of the way our teaching staff extend themselves to support student passions.

Guess what — we're a finalist!

We're so proud to share that P-TECH at Camberwell High School, part of our Launch program, has been named a finalist in the 2026 Australian Women in Security Awards!

The category is Best Program for Young Individuals in Security, proudly sponsored by the Australian Signals Directorate. Our school is one of 8 finalists, and we are thrilled to be amongst this company of exceptional award finalists.

For those wondering what Launch is all about: it's our Years 9–10 enrichment program, designed to stretch students beyond the regular classroom and help them grow into confident leaders, problem-solvers and entrepreneurs. P-TECH/Launch is where that comes to life in cybersecurity, with students exposed to real industry challenges and discovering where their skills could take them.

We couldn't be prouder of our Launch/P-TECH students and the staff who support them. Well done, everyone!

Not every school concert features an original composition by one of its own students. At Camberwell High School, that's exactly what happened.

Our mid-year music concert at Hawthorn Town Hall was a celebration of talent, creativity and growth, bringing together hundreds of family members and friends to support our student musicians.

At CHS, music is about far more than learning an instrument. It builds confidence while creating opportunities for students to challenge their creativity and perform in a professional setting.

Featured in this video is our Senior Stage Band performing Cerulean Sky, an original composition by Year 11 student Tristan—a wonderful example of the creativity fostered within our music program.

We're also proud to showcase the work of our students beyond the stage, with the event photography captured by talented Year 10 student Josh.

As we head into Term 3, our musicians will continue refining their technical skills in preparation for an exciting performance season ahead.

Congratulations to every student, conductor and music staff member who made this concert such a memorable evening.
