I am a Mum to three beautiful little humans. I have been a qualified and registered primary school teacher since 2018 and have worked mostly in a small primary school across all years until I went on maternit

y leave with my third child at the end of 2019. After Covid I opened and operated a home day care from because I love early years education and I wanted to work from home whilst spending more time with my own younger children. In 2023 our family relocated to Normanton in the Gulf of Carpentaria for a work and life adventure. After 2 years in Normanton I have decided to restructure and re-open Kate's Crib! This time around, Kate's crib will be focused on providing a learning hub for students enrolled in distance education to come and be supported through their schooling. As a registered teacher and home tutor to my own 10 year old I am well placed to support other students who have moved into distance education. I'm passionate about Mum's supporting other Mums (and Dad's) in our community. This community is all about providing a safe space for our children to play, learn and grow and it's also a safe space for parents to learn and communicate around their children's social, emotional and physical needs and growth. Stand-alone day care

Stand-alone care is regulated under the Education and Care Services Act 2013 (ECS Act) and Education and Care Services Regulation 2013 (ECS Regulation). Stand-alone care providers set their own fees, unfortunately families using this daycare service are ineligible for the Child Care Subsidy. Minimum requirements and qualifications for the service provider:

- 18 Years and over
- Stand-alone care providers should have current first aid, emergency anaphylaxis and asthma management qualifications.
- Blue card holder, other adult occupants of the home must also hold a blue card.
- Public Liability Insurance
- Stand-alone care providers must limit the number of children in care to not more than 6 children under 13 years of age, of which only 4 can be under school age.
- School-age children, whose parent is the stand-alone care provider, are not counted towards the number of children allowed in the stand-alone care service
