This week we launched our annual Vinnies Winter Appeal.

We invite families to donate goods to support the wonderful work of the St Vincent de Paul Society, who provide hope, dignity and practical help to those in need.

The items listed below are a guide for what to bring - all donations are greatly appreciated.

Tins of food: tinned fruit & jams, soups, meats, spaghetti, baked beans.

Items to make drinks: tea & coffee, Milo, long-life milk, sugar.

Packets of food: pasta and pasta sauces, rice, noodles.

Breakfast Items: pancake mix, cereal, porridge.

Lunchbox Items: sultanas, muesli bars, Le Snacks, popcorn.

Drinks: unrefrigerated fruit juice, cordial.

Please check food labels carefully before donating food, as food that has reached the expiry date cannot be distributed. Also, items must be in their original packaging.

Our reality is that we have people in our community living in poverty. Rising living costs, in particular food, petrol and housing, mean the incidence of poverty is very much on the rise.

The St Vincent de Paul Society works with the poor, by respecting their dignity, sharing hope for the future, and encouraging them to take control of their destiny. Every year, the St Vincent de Paul Society is truly appreciative of the generous donations from families at St Peter’s.

Today we celebrate the feast day of St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop, Australia’s first saint!

🌟Mary dedicated her life to serving the poor, establishing schools, and bringing education and hope to rural communities. Her legacy reminds us to "never see a need without doing something about it."

Let us honor her today by spreading kindness, helping those in need, and living with a generous heart. 🙏✨

On Tuesday 28th July, St Peter’s had a 3 game tournament with Loreto and Saint Joan of Arc. The girls were challenged and played their absolute best coming 3rd overall.

Last Friday the boys played in the Beachside District Competition. They went in strong and played well also coming 3rd.

A huge thanks to our Sports Teacher Mr Cav and Coach Gabby for all their organising and support.

🌟At our school, we believe that student voice is incredibly powerful. Our SRC leaders represent their peers, pitch exciting new ideas for the school, and lead vital social justice initiatives.

We know our leaders will serve our community with great pride, empathy, and responsibility this semester. 🙌

🧠✨Our brilliant Extension Numeracy students from Years 3–6 put their problem-solving skills to the ultimate test this week in the prestigious Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC)!

Over 60 intense minutes, these young thinkers tackled 30 complex challenges spanning arithmetic, geometry, and logic.

We are incredibly proud of their dedication, grit, and enthusiasm for stretching their mathematical minds.

A special milestone for our Year 4 families! 🙏 Tonight we host our First Eucharist Family Night.

This evening is a beautiful opportunity for our students and parents to prepare together for this sacred sacrament.
