We celebrated our Golden Ticket and Wild Card winners!

They enjoyed a fun “Minute to Win It” session. Games such as Cookie Face, Make an Outfit, Balloon Keep-Up and Marshmallow Tower. Students enjoyed a special treat. They worked as a team, encouraging and caring for each other. Their smiles and excitement made the celebration extra special!

Well, done to the 30 students who received the Golden Ticket for their outstanding 100% attendance in Term 3.

A huge congratulations to our Year 6 students on their incredible Wakakirri performance, ‘Thankyou Coach!’ We are thrilled to share that KFPS received a State Award in this year’s Wakakirri Story-Dance Festival!

Our students were also recognised with six Show Awards, including Storytelling, Overall Performance, Group Dance, Choreography, Editing and the Spirit of Wakakirri Award.

Wakakirri Ambassador Dinley Jones described the performance as “Hometown Heroes!”, praising the way our students showed that we achieve more when we lift each other up. We are incredibly proud of Year 6!

Our Year 6 students proudly attended the Passions and Pathways Expo, where they showcased their learning about tech neck and yoga.

Students shared what they had discovered about healthy posture, movement and wellbeing, and demonstrated some of the yoga strategies they had learnt. Students got to share their knowledge, build confidence and celebrate their learning with the wider community. They also completed a scavenger hunt to ensure they had visited each exhibition and paid attention to their avatar self-portraits.

A fun morning was had by all and we were very proud of our students for their hard work in Passions and Pathways this year.

Year 4 students had an exciting day exploring the Melbourne Museum!

We wandered through the Dinosaur Walk, visited the impressive Triceratops and explored the Forest Gallery, spotting birds and other critters. Museum staff taught us about fossils and dinosaur diets, and our students impressed them with their fantastic knowledge! We finished with a spectacular 3D IMAX movie featuring life-like Triceratops and T-Rex.

Students should be very proud of how they represented KFPS!

Happy Father’s Day!

Wishing all the wonderful fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers and significant male role models in our KFPS community a very special day. We hope you enjoy being celebrated and appreciated for the important role you play in the lives of our students.

Across the school, our students have been busy in Art creating special gift bags to take home. We hope these thoughtful creations brought plenty of smiles and helped make Father’s Day a little more special.

Year 2 students attended the long-awaited sleepover at the Discovery Centre Bendigo.

They made the most of every moment — hands-on exhibits, a brave go at the vertical slide, and a planetarium experience we'll never forget! Year 2 students also showed off their amazing knowledge of Mars Rovers in the Lego exhibition.

What a way to bring our Solar System unit to a close!

We are incredibly proud of our Education Support Staff member, Lachlan, who recently travelled to Melbourne to share his employment journey at VELCI Community of Practice event.

Lachlan spoke openly about his experiences, the support he received and the opportunities that helped him move forward. His story highlighted the importance of recognising strengths, building relationships and supporting young people to reach their potential.

We are so proud of Lachlan and the positive impact he continues to make.

Our Year 6 students have now entered their video into the Wakakirri Story Dance competition for 2026.

The school was amazed with their skills at their live school performance. We wish them good luck as they await their results!

Our Year 3 students had an amazing day exploring Scienceworks in Melbourne, engaging in hands-on experiences and discovering how science is part of the world around us!

Students explored Sportworks, discovering the science behind sport and movement, and Think Ahead, where they imagined what the future could look like. We travelled through space at the Tilt Planetarium and learned about our incredible universe. Finally, we finished the day by watching an exciting science experiment!

It was a fantastic day of learning, discovery and fun!

Our students had a fantastic time celebrating Book Week by dressing up as some of their favourite book characters.

Throughout the week, students took part in a range of book-themed activities that encouraged them to explore stories, characters and their love of reading. It was wonderful to see so much creativity and excitement across the school as students shared their favourite books and celebrated the joy that reading can bring.
