Our Foundation students explored how First Nations peoples share history and stories through oral storytelling and artwork.
After reading the Dreaming story Tiddalick the Frog, students discussed the important messages and lessons. Students then learnt about Aboriginal symbols used in artworks before creating their own family stories using symbols to represent important people and places.
It was wonderful to see students engaging so respectfully and creatively while developing an appreciation for the rich storytelling traditions of First Nations cultures.
