Your Path Your Way has been nominated for the Kismet Support Coordinator of the Year Award.

A heartfelt thank you to NGO Training Centre for nominating us, and to Kismet for hosting awards that recognise the work being done across the disability and NDIS sector.

As an independent, stand-alone Support Coordination provider supporting participants across the Loddon Mallee region, this nomination means so much to our team.

Over the past year, we have worked incredibly hard to strengthen the way we support participants, families and carers. We have invested in new systems, improved our practice, developed resources, built our team’s skills and continued embedding neuroaffirming, trauma-informed and participant-centred approaches into the work we do every day.

We are proud of how far we have come, but most of all, we are grateful for the trust participants, families and providers place in us.
This nomination is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.

💙 Sometimes NDIS Evidence Feels Heavy
If you've ever walked away from an assessment, report review or planning conversation feeling exhausted, upset, deflated or emotionally drained, please know you're not alone.
The reality is that the NDIS often requires evidence that focuses on challenges, barriers, functional impacts and support needs. To access the right supports, we are often asked to talk about the things that are difficult, not the things that are going well.
For participants, that can be confronting.
For parents and carers, it can be heartbreaking.
Reading pages of information about the challenges your child experiences can be incredibly hard, especially when you know there is so much more to them than what is written on that page.
✨ A report is not the whole story.
It doesn't capture the personality, humour, strengths, passions, achievements, resilience, growth, kindness or potential of the person behind the report.
At YPYW, we understand how heavy evidence gathering can feel. While we need to ensure the NDIS has the information required to understand support needs, we also work hard to ensure your voice, strengths, goals and lived experience remain at the centre of the conversation.
Be gentle with yourself.
The report is one part of the picture, not the whole picture. 💙
