🌟 2027 Enrolments Are Now Open! 🌟

Our 2027 enrolments are officially open, and places are already filling up fast!

We’ve recently seen a big increase in both re-enrolments and new enrolments, which means availability for 2027 will be limited.

To avoid disappointment, we’re encouraging families who are considering joining our community to book a tour as soon as possible. We’d love the opportunity to meet your family, show you around our centre and chat about how we can best accommodate your needs.

Our Kindergarten enrolments have already been processed, and with limited availability remaining, we are still welcoming new enrolments!

☀️🌸 What an amazing week of sunshine and spring weather! 🌸☀️

Our Adventurers have been making the most of these beautiful sunny days and getting outside to explore, play and have lots of fun!

From riding bikes and tackling obstacle courses, to getting creative in the sandpit and simply running around enjoying the sunshine — we’ve absolutely loved soaking up every moment of this gorgeous spring weather!

There’s nothing better than watching our Adventurers learn, laugh and play together outdoors.

🌸 School Holiday Activities Around Bendigo! 🌸

Looking for some fun things to do with the family these school holidays? Here are some great activities to add to your list:

🌷 Tulip Time – Take a walk through Rosalind Park and the Conservatory Gardens to see thousands of colourful tulips. Pack a picnic, grab an ice cream and enjoy the beautiful spring gardens.

✨ Bloom After Dark – See Bendigo’s tulips light up at night from 6:30pm–9:30pm, with glowing flowers, lanterns and colourful displays around the city.

🍄 Gnome Hunt – Head to Canterbury Gardens in Eaglehawk and see if you can find all 12 gnomes! The trail runs from 14 September–6 October and is a great way to get outdoors with the kids.

🎨 Hargreaves Mall – Enjoy free family activities including face painting, live music, LEGO, juggling, a Roller Disco and more. Check the program for dates and times.

🌿 Spring in the Bush – Get out and explore Bendigo’s beautiful bushland with free walks, workshops and activities celebrating our local environment.

🔬 Discovery Science & Technology Centre – Explore more than 100 interactive exhibits, visit the Planetarium or take on the 7-metre Vertical Slide!

🐉 Golden Dragon Museum – Discover Bendigo’s Chinese history and see the famous Imperial Dragons, along with fascinating artefacts and displays.

🏉 FOOTY COLOURS DAY! 🌈

From Monday 21st September to Friday 25th September, Village Early Education is getting behind Footy Colours Day to help raise awareness for the Fight Cancer Foundation!

We’re encouraging all of our children and educators to come dressed in their favourite footy team colours throughout the week. Whether you’re supporting the AFL, NRL or simply love a particular colour — we want to see it!

It’s a wonderful opportunity for our children to have fun, celebrate their favourite teams and colours, while also helping us raise awareness for children and families impacted by cancer.

So get your jerseys, scarves and footy colours ready and join us for a colourful week of fun! 🏉✨

On Monday, the Observers thoroughly enjoyed spending time outdoors, making the most of the beautiful sunshine and exploring our outdoor learning environment.

The children engaged in a variety of experiences that encouraged exploration, creativity, physical development and imaginative play. They confidently navigated the climbing equipment, developing their balance, coordination and gross motor skills. The sandpit provided opportunities for building, creating and experimenting, while the bikes encouraged the children to practise their coordination and movement skills.

The children also enjoyed exploring our bamboo garden and engaging in imaginative play with our small-world setup, using their creativity to develop their own play scenarios and stories.

It was wonderful to see the children confidently exploring the outdoor environment, developing new skills and engaging positively with their peers. The beautiful sunshine provided the perfect opportunity for the Observers to enjoy a fun-filled day of learning, discovery and play outdoors.

🇦🇺 Exploring Australian Culture Through Play! 🐨🌿

Our children have been immersed in exploring Australian culture through meaningful, hands-on play and learning experiences.

We have been discovering some of Australia’s iconic landmarks, including Uluṟu, learning about Aboriginal symbols and their meanings, and exploring the incredible animals that are native to Australia.

Through these experiences, the children have been developing their understanding of Australia’s rich cultural heritage, connecting with our natural environment, and building curiosity about the world around them.

It has been wonderful to see the children sharing ideas, asking questions and learning together through play.

💛 R U OK? DAY 💛

Today at Village Early Education, we recognise R U OK? Day — a day that reminds us of the importance of checking in with the people around us and letting them know that they are never alone.

While R U OK? Day is often associated with adults, it is also a wonderful opportunity to begin teaching children about emotional wellbeing, connection and looking out for others.

Why do we recognise R U OK? Day with children?

• To help children recognise and name their emotions
• To teach children that it is okay to talk about how they are feeling
• To encourage children to check in on their friends and notice when someone may need support
• To build empathy, kindness and understanding
• To help children understand that all feelings are okay and that emotions can change
• To encourage children to ask for help when they need it
• To create a safe environment where children feel heard, valued and supported
• To build strong relationships and a sense of belonging within our Village community

Small conversations can make a big difference.

At the bottom of this post, we have attached a helpful resource that families can use at home to support children with emotional regulation and help them understand and manage their feelings.

Let’s continue to check in, listen, connect and remind our little ones that their feelings matter.

🐰🎶 Sleeping Bunnies during Group Time! 🎶🐰

Our Explorers absolutely LOVE Sleeping Bunnies — and they take the “sleeping” part VERY seriously!

It’s always a favourite during group time, with lots of little bunnies getting ready to wake up, jump up and move their bodies!

Music and movement are such an important part of early childhood learning. They support children’s physical development, coordination, listening skills, rhythm, language, confidence and self-expression — all while having lots of fun together!

We love watching our Explorers listen, move, laugh and join in with this much-loved song.
