๐ Supervision is more than simply watching children. Itโs about being present, aware and responsive.
We had the pleasure of delivering Supervision Training to the wonderful team at ๐Wongan Hills Cubby House.
We started by unpacking what supervision currently looks like within their own service, from their structure, team dynamics, routines, policies and procedures.
From there, we collaboratively developed a clear and consistent supervision approach, grounded in their context and everyday practice. This process helped strengthen safe practices and ensured every educator had a shared understanding of their role in actively keeping children safe.
Together, we reflected on the realities of busy environments and what it really means to be present, intentional, and responsive in supervision - not just positioned, but truly engaged.

We are thrilled to introduce our next keynote speakers for this year's Little People, Big Dreams Conference - Jessica Staines. ๐
Jessica is a Wiradjuri woman, founder of the award-winning The Koori Curriculum, and has spent over 15 years working alongside educators across Australia to embed Aboriginal culture and perspectives into everyday early childhood practice.
Her keynote this year is:
โจ Windows, Mirrors and Sliding Doors: Creating Early Childhood Spaces Where Every Child Belongs
This keynote is for every educator who believes that every child deserves to feel seen, valued and like they truly belong. Jessica will explore how we create learning environments that reflect children's identities, open windows to other cultures, and build real empathy and connection.
We know this will be one of those sessions that stays with you. ๐

Play is not a break from learning. โญ ๐๐ ๐๐จ ๐ก๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐ โญ
When children are building, pretending, exploring, running, creating or simply wondering, they're developing critical skills that support their growth and development. Yet play is often misunderstood as "just keeping children busy."
This International Day of Play, we unpack why play is one of the most powerful tools for learning, how it connects to the EYLF and why protecting uninterrupted play time matters.
