us is set in parklands near the heart of Lockridge, close to health services and a number of primary schools. The Campus is utilised by families from the richly diverse local community and lives the mantra of inclusion with families and staff sharing 14 languages and cultures. The Lockridge Campus is aiming to provide a showcase for the development of an integrated service delivery model offering a range of early learning, middle years and parenting programs and services. During a Father’s Day discussion, the children shared that they wanted to create something fun, creative and full of love for their parents and other special people in their lives. 💬💖

We collected their ideas and worked together to create a beautiful Caring Tree 🌳💕, where the children expressed their feelings through heartfelt messages. Their voices, choices and creativity guided the experience, while our educators supported them with writing, spelling, colours, fun and love. ✍️🎨✨

Today, we celebrated Educators’ Day with our wonderful children. We enjoyed cake, laughter, dancing and lots of special moments together.

On Educators’ Day, our wonderful parents showed their kind gesture by bringing us delicious food and a beautiful thank-you card. We feel incredibly lucky to have such thoughtful and supportive families in our service. Their kindness and appreciation truly made our day extra special. Thank you so much! ❤️

💙 Happy Educators’ Day to our amazing Lockridge team! 💙

Today is all about celebrating the wonderful people who spend their days caring for, teaching, laughing with and sometimes being just a little bit silly with our children!

Our educators are the ones giving cuddles when they’re needed, joining in the messy play, singing the same song for the 100th time 😂, finding missing shoes, wiping little noses, celebrating big achievements and making sure every child knows they belong.

But most importantly, they genuinely care about our children. 💙

We are so lucky to have such a fun, caring and dedicated bunch of educators at Lockridge, and today we get to celebrate YOU! 🥳

A Week of Stories, Creativity & Happy Moments at our OSHC! 📚

Our children celebrated Book Week at school, arriving in wonderful costumes as different characters for Book Day!

We continued the excitement at OSHC by reading books connected to their characters and drawing pictures inspired by the stories. It was a lovely way to bring books to life and celebrate their imaginations! 🎭🎨

The fun didn’t stop there! Children explored sensory water play, scooping and pouring with cups and expressed their creativity by decorating wooden shapes.

These hands-on experiences offered opportunities to discover, develop fine motor skills and share materials with friends. 🌈

🏀 Little Players, Big Learning! 🏀

There was lots of determination happening outdoors today as our little basketball players explored shooting hoops!

The children took turns holding the ball, reaching up high and working out how to get it through the hoop. There were plenty of attempts, some problem-solving and lots of persistence as they kept trying.

Something as simple as shooting a basketball gives children so many opportunities to learn through play. They are developing their hand-eye coordination, balance, gross motor skills and spatial awareness, while also beginning to understand concepts such as distance, direction and cause and effect.

It was also lovely to see the children learning alongside one another — watching what their friend was doing, waiting for an opportunity to have a turn and sharing the experience together.

We love seeing these everyday moments where children challenge themselves, build confidence and discover what their bodies can do. 💙

RSPCA WA is bringing its Community Action Day to Lockridge, with plenty of FREE support available for local pet owners who may be doing it a little tough at the moment.

👕 We’re getting LOUD at Child Australia Lockridge!

Friday, 16th October is the official Loud Shirt Day, and we’re excited to be joining in and supporting this wonderful cause.

We’re inviting all of our children, families and team to wear their brightest, boldest and loudest shirt for the day. Think bright colours, crazy patterns, stripes, spots – anything goes!

We’ll also be fundraising for Loud Shirt Day, helping to support children who are deaf or hard of hearing. We’ll share our donation link with families soon for anyone who would like to contribute.

And families, this isn’t just for the children – we’d love you to dress up too!

Healthy Eating, Growing Independence 🍽️

Mealtimes at Child Australia Lockridge are about so much more than what is on the plate.

We love creating relaxed, family-style mealtimes where our children can sit together, enjoy good food and have a go at doing things for themselves.

Today our children were busy choosing what they wanted from the shared platter, using the serving tongs, pouring their own water and enjoying their meal alongside their friends. These might seem like little everyday moments, but they are such an important part of building confidence and independence.

We encourage our children to explore different foods, listen to their bodies and enjoy mealtimes without pressure. There is always plenty of conversation around the table too!

And judging by those plates, today's lunch was definitely a hit. 😊

At Lockridge, we want mealtimes to feel just like they should — welcoming, social, relaxed and shared together. 💙
