Book Week is coming!
We got a head start yesterday when Jordon and Matt from Perform Education visited and brought some of this year's Book Week books to life on stage. Lots of laughs, and some of this year's favourite stories playing out on stage. 🎭
That was just a warm-up. Book Week kicks off next week - this year's theme is Symphony of Stories - and we've got plenty more in store, all building towards our Book Week Parade next Friday morning.
Time to start planning those costumes 📚

This term, 2M have been exploring the themes of Laudato Si', a letter written by Pope Francis in 2015 that encourages everyone to care for our “common home” and protect the Earth. Students have been discussing important environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, and the protection of plants and animals. As part of their Talk Time students were asked to have a conversation with their family about recycling. Students made creations our of items that can be recycled 🌏💚

Yesterday Mrs Hamidi's class had an amazing time outside during their science lesson. They explored and observed examples of plants and animals meeting their needs.
Answering questions like: Where do the birds shelter, get their food and water from?
Where does this plant get sunlight and water from, and does it grow in soil?
How lucky we are to have a wonderful new nature play area for us to play in and use for learning!

A successful sighting! 📸 Rozen & Kaia were thrilled to spot themselves on a bus stop today. How is your spotting going?

👀 Spotting Challenge!
Keep an eye out for some familiar faces around Adelaide as part of the Catholic Schools Open Week 2026 campaign!
⭐ Rozen (Year 6) and Kaia (Year 1) will be featured on bus shelter advertisements across our local area.
⭐ Kaia will also appear on a digital billboard on South Road, Mile End from 10-16 August.
⭐ Rozen will also be featured on a special "mystery" bus shelter somewhere in metropolitan Adelaide!
If you spot any of these ads while you're out and about, snap a photo (if it's safe to do so) and send it through to us.
📸 Can you help track them all down? We can't wait to see your sightings! ✨

On Friday, two of our Year 6 students proudly represented St Bernadette’s School at the St Dominic’s Day Mass at Cabra Dominican College, joining other primary students from schools across our region.
The celebration provided a wonderful opportunity to come together in faith and honour the life and legacy of St Dominic. We are incredibly proud of the respectful and enthusiastic way our students represented our school community and it was a wonderful opportunity to connect with another Dominican School.
Well done to our Year 6 representatives! 💙🤍
