ELAA is proud to be a female-led organisation, with a strong leadership team made up of women who are committed to supporting and advocating for the early learning sector.
The ECEC sector itself is powered by women – educators, teachers, leaders and approved providers who show up every day for children, families and communities.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme, , highlights the importance of recognising and valuing women’s work fairly.
In early childhood education and care, the message is clear: a highly skilled workforce that plays a critical role in children’s development must be recognised with the respect, recognition and fair wages it deserves.
That’s why ELAA launched the I❤️My Kinder Teacher campaign – to shine a light on the educators and teachers who shape children’s learning, confidence and sense of belonging every day. And to call out for the need for for this female led workforce.
Today we celebrate the women who lead, teach, care and advocate across the sector.
And we continue to call for action to and ensure the ECEC workforce is properly valued.
