⛳ PSSA Sydney West Golf championships - Tamworth

A fantastic week of golf for Ciaran in Year 6, with some impressive results last week in Tamworth.

🏆 Ciaran and his team won the Ambrose Nett Team Event — a fabulous achievement!

Ciaran also played extremely well across the individual competition, finishing:

* 48th out of 88 in the Stroke Competition
* Tied 13th out of 88 in the Nett Competition

A great week of golf with plenty experiences gained along the way.

Year 6 Canberra Excursion – Day 1

Year 6 had a busy first day in Canberra, visiting Mount Ainslie Lookout, the Australian War Memorial and Questacon.

After a full day of sightseeing and activities, everyone is tired and ready for bed.

A good night’s sleep before we head to the snow tomorrow! ❄️

Year 3 had a fantastic day at the Field of Mars today! 🔍

Students enjoyed lots of fun, hands-on activities as they explored, investigated and learned in the great outdoors. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring their classroom learning to life while discovering more about the natural environment.

A big thank you to Mrs Hasta, Mr Byrne and Mrs Coates for organising and running our Book Parade and Open Classrooms. We hope all our visitors had a great time and got a chance to see the wonderful work our students do at WHPS.

Today, our Kindergarten students put their mathematical thinking to the test with our BeeBots! 🤖

As part of our learning about position and direction, students navigated mazes by planning, predicting and programming their BeeBots to reach the correct destination. They used mathematical language, problem-solving skills and teamwork to debug their programs and try again when things didn’t go to plan.

It was wonderful to see so much persistence, creativity and excitement in action. We might just have some future engineers and programmers in the making! 🐝💛
