✍️For students with dyslexia and dysgraphia, establishing a predictable motor pattern is essential. When letter formation becomes automatic and consistent, the brain no longer has to “figure out” how to form each letter. That frees up cognitive energy for what really matters: spelling, sentence construction and expressing ideas.

❗️Real words aren’t the whole story, pseudo words (nonsense) matter too.

Why? Because pseudo words remove the influence of memory and vocabulary to decode. We can identify the gap or misconception early. This leads to better reading later when words become multisyllabic and include a prefix and suffix.

This strengthens core decoding skills, builds phonological awareness and reveals whether a learner genuinely understands how sounds work. Not just which words they’ve memorised!
