🌟 Wine Down Wednesday 🍇 Study Tour Spotlight! 🌟

Last Wednesday we revealed some of our brand-new wine labels, and guess who’s behind a few of them?
Our very own Study Tour legend Miyu! 🍇✨

Her Barossa Cabernet label scored a perfect mark at the National Schools Wine Competition and also took out Best Label proudly sponsored by CCL Label, described as “sunshine in a bottle.”
Talk about grape talent.

Miyu has also created a special edition label for our school’s 90th Anniversary Rare Tawny, dropping Sunday the 30th November. It’s looking un-wine-dly good.

We’re so proud of you, Miyu. She really is crushing it. 💛💙

🌾 Just in case some of y’all missed the bulletin… we have some agciting news! 🌾

Nuriootpa High School’s launching our inaugural Agriculture Home Group for 2026, and trust us, this is one opportunity you don’t want slipping through the gates.

Open to students who will be in Years 9–12 in 2026, this Home Group will give you the chance to:
• step into leadership roles
• build real industry skills
• represent NHS at events, programs and community initiatives
• be part of something brand new and seriously cool for our Ag fam

Forms are available on Daymap.
📌 Applications close Friday 3.15pm
📌 Forms must be signed by a parent/caregiver and your Home Group teacher and submitted to the ag office.

There are limited spots, so get your forms in fast. We’d hate for you to miss the mob. 🐑

🥹🎓 THE END OF AN ERA🐑

Today we had our final Agricultural Production class for the Class of 2025. While this video might make it look like Miss Hoffmann’s stoked, she’s actually a little bit sad to see this crew go 🐮🌾

It’s been such a joy teaching this bunch and watching them grow from the vineyard to the yards and everywhere in between. Miss Hoffmann will miss making reels with this crew but can’t wait to see all the agmazing things they do next 💚✨ Here’s to the memories and all the best for the future y’all!

From Friday night lights in Texas to reeling in our first Barossa grape bunches, it’s been one unforgettable journey. These legends had a reel good time in Texas and are reflecting on the memories of how it all began 🍇✨

📣 Today our Study Tour legends took to the stage at our End of Term Celebration Assembly to share our Texas agventure. Maya and Maddy spoke so well, and of course we couldn’t miss the chance to wear our Texas hats 🤠💛💙 Huge thank you to Councillor Leon Leal for organising these for us!

To begin with, we want to recognise the Barossa Council’s Sister City relationship with Grapevine, Texas. 🌏🤝 Without this partnership, our Study Tour simply would not have been possible.

Well what a whirlwind of a week it’s been! 🇦🇺✈️🇺🇸

We worked incredibly hard with our fundraising but none of it would have been possible without the amazing support from both our local Barossa community and our Sister City family in Grapevine, Texas and the Grapevine-Colleyville School District.

🌾💛 We might be back home in Australia now 🇦🇺 and a day late, but we couldn’t miss shouting out National Teach Ag Day (Sept 18)!

A huge thank you to our Texas Ag teachers 🇺🇸 who welcomed us with open arms, and to our Aussie Ag teachers who kept the wheels turning at home 🙌.

It was clear how our passion for food and fibre and seeing our kids doing their best was important to all ag teachers. 🌟 And of course, some of our ag teachers think they are comedihens too 🐓😂.

We’re so grateful for the lessons learned, the experiences shared, and the lifelong friendships made along the way! 🐑🚜
