Announcing the NAIDOC 2025 Theme: “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision, Legacy”

As we celebrate 50 incredible years of NAIDOC Week, we honor the achievements of the past while looking boldly to the future. This year’s theme is a tribute to the resilience of our communities, the vision of our leaders, and the strength of the next generation.

From the wisdom of our Elders to the courage of our youth, NAIDOC 2025 is about building a legacy of unity, respect, and self-determination. Join us as we commemorate this powerful milestone and celebrate a movement that continues to grow, evolve, and inspire.

Together, we walk forward, honoring where we’ve come from and embracing the bright future ahead.

Today I joined in the yarn with Katie Kiss the Commisoner for ABTSI Social Justice. The session was around Informing the agenda for the work she will undertake during her time in the role.

Knowing our Human Rights and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples should be at the foreground for all people. I have used this document to guide the work I do as a consultant and story teller across all levels of education.

Stu and I are reaching out to see if you have any questions about the referendum. We have sent this to all of our contacts and we are doing our part to ensure that First Peoples are recognised in the constitution and have an advisory group to speak on matters that impact us as first people’s. We voted YES and we would appreciate your support too. No need to respond in a text to us unless you would like to. We hope you make a decision that is based on love and social justice and not fear as being lead by Peter Dutton and his crew. This is a moment in history and this is calling all of us to do the right thing to bring change for our communities and future generations. Yaluu Cilla
