Back to Breath - Lucine Setian I help people with ADHD use Breathwork to regulate and feel themself again. NSW bush retreat 16-18 Oct ↓

What I’d choose if I had ADHD and wanted to feel peace in my body, not just organised and tidy.

Not another planner. Not another app. These are the things that actually calm an ADHD nervous system, not just make the outside look tidy.

A ten minute breathwork practice before the day gets loud, not after everything’s already gone wrong.

A long exhale instead of a big breath in. It’s what actually tells your body it’s safe to come down.

Ten minutes lying on the floor doing nothing, on purpose, before you’re forced to.

A weekly practice instead of a one off session. Your body needs repetition, not a single big breakthrough.

Somewhere to put your hands when your brain won’t stop. Walking, stretching, anything that isn’t scrolling.

Permission to feel calm without earning it first.

None of this will make your calendar look more organised. It’ll make your body feel like somewhere safe to live.

I used to do sessions that felt amazing, but afterwards I couldn’t tell you what actually happened or what changed.

This type of Breathwork starts with setting an intention. Before you even breathe, you name what you want out of the session. That one thing changes everything, because now you have something to track the session against, and real clarity about what’s shifting for you.

Then you’re breathing with other people, being guided through what comes up and how it connects back to your intention. I help you make sense of it in real time, instead of you working it out alone afterwards.

And the group itself does something breathwork alone can’t. You hear other people’s experiences and realise you’re not the only one carrying this. You learn from each other. That connection is honestly the best part.

This is exactly what Back to Baseline is — live breathwork with me, in a small community, built around your own intention every session.

Kids don’t self regulate. They co-regulate — they borrow it from the nervous system next to them, because their own brain isn’t built to do it alone yet. The part of the brain that handles self regulation doesn’t finish developing until well into your twenties.

So when your kid is spiralling, they’re not being difficult. They’re reaching for a nervous system steadier than theirs, and yours is the one they’ve got.

That only works if you have something to lend. If you’re maxed out, there’s nothing for them to borrow.

If you want to learn how to use the breath to regulate your own nervous system and become a regulator for your kids, join Back to Baseline. Three weeks of live breathwork to shift your baseline stress, so you have capacity left for the people borrowing from you. Next cohort starts end of October.

The thing about this work is it doesn’t feel dramatic. You don’t walk out fixed or transformed in some big cinematic way.

You just feel normal again. At ease. Like you can breathe without bracing for the next thing.

That’s exactly why it’s so hard to describe, especially to an ADHD brain that’s used to running hot. When you’re wired for adrenaline, on gritted teeth, holding it together, peaceful can feel unfamiliar. Almost too quiet.

But that’s the goal. Not calm all the time. Just enough space between what happens and how you react to it, so you’re not abandoning yourself just to get through the day.

Comment BASELINE and I’ll pop you on the waitlist for the next round, opening late October. 💛

Back to Baseline wrapped up this week. Three weeks of breathwork and a close community, and wow, I’m in awe of the group.

If you want slow mornings, space between thoughts, regulated relationships, less urgency, a body that feels safe to live in, this is the kind of thing that happens when you do breathwork for three weeks in close community.

Claire shared these words.

“I did your session because I was at a point of not knowing how to down regulate my nervous system. Hormones, family, work, demands and ill health were kicking my butt. I was desperate. I feel like my resilience is returning. I feel like I am seeing the possibility of me enjoying and embracing my life fully.” — Claire

I’m taking a small group into the bush for 3 days.

October 16 to 18. Yanada... a private property on Darkinjung lands, 90 minutes from Sydney.
And I built it around one question.

What happens when a nervous system that never gets a break... actually gets one?
Not a holiday where you’re still carrying the mental load in a different location. An actual break.

Breathwork with me every day. Somatic movement with Taline Valerio. Food you didn’t have to think about, cooked for you. Hours of deep bush quiet.

Most weekends away leave you relaxed for about five minutes. You get home, life picks straight back up, and by the following week you’re just as depleted as before you left. Sometimes more.

This is different because you’re not just resting. You’re resetting your nervous system whilst learning how to unwind your stress and restore your body - and enjoying the weekend. You will have a tool to take with you and continue when stress creeps back in.

One of my clients said it better than I could.

“I did your session because I was at a point of not knowing how to down regulate my nervous system.
Hormones, family, work, demands and ill health were kicking my butt! I was desperate... I feel like my resilience is returning. I feel like I am seeing the possibility of me enjoying and embracing my life fully.”

This is for the one who is always holding it. The one who can’t remember the last time a whole day asked nothing of them - and it’s just the beginning.

The group is small on purpose. So it stays quiet, intimate, and truly held.
