Creating a Brighter Future for All☀️

North Balga Primary School is located approximately 13 kilometres from the Perth CBD in the City of Stirling and has an enrolment of approximately 230 students from Kindergarten to Year 7. Our diverse population includes 22% Aboriginal and 45% EAL/D students. Our site also houses a unit of the North East Metropolitan Language Development Centre and a Primary Extension and Academic Challenge (PEAC)

Centre. The City of Stirling operates an Out Of School Care program and our School Based Home Liaison Officer coordinates an on-site playgroup and Breakfast Club. We have developed the award winning 'Moorditj Learning Centre' which operates three mornings per week, supporting the development of students' literacy skills and is based on the Aboriginal Literacy Strategy. We support our students with a number of pastoral care programs including Protective Behaviours, Rainbows Grief Counselling, Mentors and the Behaviour Management and Discipline Program. All teachers use Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to enhance and engage the children's learning. The school has widely supported the integration of ICT and each classroom has an interactive whiteboard. The school employs a Literacy Leader and a Numeracy Leader, who both work in collaboration with the staff to implement strategies across all year levels to improve literacy and numeracy standards. North Balga Primary School has an inclusive, nurturing environment, which encourages students to develop at their own rate. We offer an innovative, flexible and supportive learning environment that allows children to maximise their potential to continue to develop and progress. North Balga Primary School takes pride in its flexible and engaging programs, and its multicultural environment, and continually strives to achieve excellence in the academic, social, emotional, behavioural and sporting aspects of school life.
