🌟 Teacher Aide Appreciation Week 🌟

This morning, we celebrated our wonderful Education Assistants as part of 'Teacher Aide Appreciation Week' with a special morning tea ☕️💙

Our Education Assistants work across both the Junior and Secondary Schools, providing invaluable support, encouragement and care to our students every day.

They were joined by our Principal, Jay Sutton and other members of our Leadership Team, who took the opportunity to thank them for their dedication, commitment and wonderful efforts throughout the year.

We are incredibly grateful for everything our Education Assistants do for our students and College community 💙👏

The Junior School had a fantastic morning celebrating the achievements of our students at assembly, announcing our Inter-house Carnival Champions and Runners-up🥇🥈

A big congratulations to Boodjar House, who took out the overall House Carnival Championship! 🏆🎉

We also presented 'Making Jesus Real' awards to students who were recognised for demonstrating kindness, encouragement, respect and living out our College values through their actions.

A very special thank you to Miss Fernandes and our wonderful teachers for all their hard work in organising and running our Interhouse Carnival Day. Your time, energy and enthusiasm helped make the day such a success! 💙

Congratulations to all our Champions and Runners-up, you should be incredibly proud of your achievements! 👏

📚✨ BOOK WEEK PARADE! ✨📚

What a wonderful morning we had at our Book Week Parade! 🎉

It was fantastic to see so many parents join us and support our students as they showed off their wonderfully creative Book Week costumes! 🧙‍♀️🦸‍♂️🧚‍♀️📚

The Book Week spirit was certainly alive, with our Secondary students also getting involved by cheering on our Junior School students and giving them lots of high fives! 🙌

A special thank you to our families for coming along to watch and making the morning so special 💙

Our Staff and Librarians certainly have a very difficult job of judging the best Book Week costumes! 🏆

The lucky winners will be announced by the end of the day.

To kick-start our Book Week 📚 celebrations, we were delighted to welcome a very special visitor to the College today, acclaimed Western Australian author and poet, Meg McKinlay! ✨

Meg is a celebrated writer of books for children and young adults, with titles including 'How to Make a Bird' and 'A Single Stone' 📖

Her work has been recognised with two Prime Minister’s Literary Awards and three Crystal Kite Awards, highlighting her outstanding contribution to children’s literature.

Students in Years 2, 3, 4 and 5 had the wonderful opportunity to meet Meg and take part in an engaging and interactive session centred around her book 'Duck for a Day' 🦆📖

Through storytelling, discussion and plenty of imagination, Meg brought her book to life and inspired our students to think creatively and discover the joy of reading and writing ✍️
