Baldivis Pre-kindy

This week, the children enjoyed exploring the wonderful world of colours ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 through stories 📚, songs 🎵, art 🎨, and hands-on learning experiences. They had fun identifying colours in their environment, creating colourful artwork, and experimenting with colour mixing to discover how new colours are made.

The children showed curiosity ✨, creativity 🎨, and enthusiasm 😊 as they shared ideas, worked alongside their peers, and expressed themselves through a variety of activities. We also enjoyed a special popcorn afternoon tea 🍿, providing an opportunity for children to socialise, build friendships 🤝, and practise positive mealtime skills.

It has been a fantastic week filled with learning 📖, creativity 🌟, and colourful discoveries 🌈. We look forward to another exciting week ahead!

🐝🌼 This week, the children enjoyed exploring the amazing world of bees through a variety of hands-on learning experiences. We created bee hives using pasta, made beautiful flower and bee artworks, learned about the life cycle of a bee, and even tasted honey while discussing how bees make it.

The children also enjoyed indoor and outdoor play, dancing with friends, and engaging in meaningful conversations about nature and the environment. These experiences supported creativity, curiosity, communication, and social development.

We have had a wonderful week full of learning, laughter, and discovery! 🍯🐝💛

What a wonderful week we’ve had at Pre-Kindy! ❄️✨

This week we explored all about winter, learning what winter looks like and how we can keep warm during the colder months. The children enjoyed lots of creative experiences, including making campfire art and creating their own beautiful winter scene crafts using a variety of materials 🎨🔥🍂

We also enjoyed cooking yummy chocolate crackles for afternoon tea, listening to stories during rest time, and spending time playing both indoors and outdoors with our friends 😊

It has been a week full of laughter, creativity, learning, and fun!

🦖 What a dino-mite week in Pre-Kindy! 🦴

This week our little mini archaeologists explored a variety of dinosaur experiences. The children searched for dinosaur bones in the sensory tough tray, explored our dinosaur set-up, created their own fossils, and made dinosaur skeleton artwork. They also loved investigating the skeleton dinosaur on the light table and engaging in imaginative discussions about dinosaurs. 🦕✨

Through play-based learning, the children developed creativity, communication skills, sensory awareness, and curiosity while having lots of fun together!

This week the children have been learning all about Community Helpers and the important roles they play in keeping our communities safe, healthy, and happy 👮‍♀️👩‍🚒👨‍⚕️🚑🚒

Through stories, songs, discussions, and creative experiences, the children explored why we need community helpers and how they help us in our everyday lives. The children loved singing community helper songs, sharing their own experiences, and engaging in imaginative play both indoors and outdoors.

These learning experiences encouraged the children to build confidence, communication skills, and an understanding of belonging within their community.

Week 3 - Mother’s Day ❤️

We had a wonderful Mother’s Day week in Pre-Kindy celebrating all our amazing mums and grandmas 💐

Throughout the week, our special visitors joined us for morning and afternoon tea where they were pampered with relaxing experiences, special activities, and lots of love from the children. We enjoyed sharing delicious cakes and cookies together while creating meaningful memories with our friends and families ❤️

The children also spent time exploring both indoors and outdoors, enjoying the sunshine, creative play, and quality time with their loved ones. Thank you to all the mums and grandmas who joined us and made the week so special and memorable 💖

🚑 Week 2 - Ambulances 🚑

This week, our Pre-Kindy children explored the important role of ambulances in our community. We learnt about the equipment they use, why they are so important, and the emergency number to call when help is needed.

The children enjoyed singing songs, engaging in both indoor and outdoor play, and spending time building friendships through shared experiences.

What a fantastic start back to Pre-Kindy! 😊 It has been so nice to see the children returning with excitement, ready to explore, learn, and spend time with their friends again.

This week, we focused on shapes, discovering them in both our indoor and outdoor environments. From building and creating inside to exploring and finding shapes in the playground, the children were engaged in hands-on learning experiences that encouraged curiosity and exploration. 🔺🟦🌿

We also enjoyed singing songs together, filling our days with music, movement, and lots of smiles 🎶 The children loved reconnecting with their friends, sharing experiences, and settling back into their routine.

We look forward to seeing all your smiling faces this week as we return for a fun and exciting term 2!
