Loose parts, big imaginations! Today, our children explored, created, and discovered through open-ended play using a variety of loose parts. These experiences encourage creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork while having fun.

Our children gathered with educators to share their knowledge and ideas about dinosaurs. Through meaningful conversations and different forms of communication, they expressed what they know, asked questions, and built on each other's thinking. By valuing children's voices and interests, we create learning experiences that are meaningful and engaging.

With 30 June fast approaching, now is a great time to check that you're on track with your Child Care Subsidy (CCS) requirements.

Taking action before key deadlines can help avoid interruptions to your subsidy and unexpected childcare costs.

Families are encouraged to:
✔ Review your CCS details
✔ Confirm your income information with Services Australia
✔ Lodge any required tax returns
✔ Familiarise yourself with absence day requirements

Children enjoyed exploring different textures through pouring and scooping, developing their sensory awareness, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination. Through hands-on play, they investigated how materials move and feel, fostering curiosity, creativity, and early problem-solving skills.

Exploring Rhythm with Tapping Sticks

The children engaged in a musical experience using tapping sticks, exploring rhythm, sound, and movement. As they tapped the sticks together, they listened carefully to the different sounds they could create and experimented with fast and slow beats, loud and soft sounds, and repeating patterns.

This experience encouraged children to interact with one another, take turns, and work together as they explored music and movement. Through shared musical experiences, children developed their listening skills, coordination, concentration, and confidence while expressing themselves creatively.

Music provides opportunities for children to connect with culture, communicate ideas, and experience the joy of creating sounds together.

EYLF Outcomes:
Outcome 1: Children develop a strong sense of identity as they participate confidently in group experiences.
Outcome 2: Children become connected with and contribute to their world through positive interactions and collaborative play.
Outcome 4: Children become confident and involved learners as they explore rhythm, sound, and musical patterns.
Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators as they express themselves through music, movement, and shared experiences.

The children thoroughly enjoyed creating rhythms together and discovering the many ways music can bring people together.
