New classroom resources on sugarcane coming soon
CANEGROWERS, in collaboration with the Primary Industries Education Foundation Australia (PIEFA), is preparing to launch two exciting new education resources for secondary schools.

The first, Growing Smarter: Exploring Australian Sugarcane Production (Years 9–10), is a five-lesson unit exploring sustainable sugarcane production and the innovations shaping the industry. The second, a Sugarcane Supply Chain Card Game (Years 7–10), offers a hands-on way for students to learn how sugar moves from farm to consumer, while showcasing related technologies and career pathways.

These resources will be released soon and are designed to inspire student learning while highlighting the vital role of sugarcane in Australia’s agricultural landscape.
