A huge thank you to everyone who joined our whole school NAIDOC week liturgy today. We were so blessed to gather around the fire under the warmth of the winter sunshine in our yarning circle to reflect, celebrate and honour the rich culture and achievements of our Aboriginal peoples.
The liturgy was led beautifully by prep EA and 5EW and our First Nation students.
Thank you to our wonderful choir for adding such special music to the occasion.
It was a truly special and meaningful community gathering.

From Regionals to Nationals – An Incredible Cross Country Journey!

What an incredible cross country season it has been for three of our students, Siena, Arnie and Ollie, who have proudly represented St Catherine of Siena at the highest levels of school competition.

Towards the end of last term, all three students competed at the Regional Cross Country Championships, taking on some of Victoria's strongest young runners. Simply qualifying for the Regional Championships is a fantastic achievement and a testament to their dedication, perseverance and hard work throughout the season.

Following outstanding performances at Regionals, Arnie and Ollie qualified for the State Cross Country Championships, held yesterday. With around 80,000 students in each age group beginning the School Sport Victoria pathway, earning a place at the State Finals is an extraordinary accomplishment in itself.

Ollie produced a fantastic run to finish 52nd in Victoria, while Arnie delivered an exceptional performance to claim the bronze medal, finishing 3rd in the state. As a result of this incredible achievement, Arnie has been selected to represent Victoria at the National Cross Country Championships in Sydney later this year.

We are incredibly proud of Siena, Ollie and Arnie for the commitment, resilience and sportsmanship they have shown throughout the entire cross country season. Each of them has represented our school with pride and determination, and their achievements are something our whole community can celebrate.

Can you believe we’re already at Term 3, Week 2?! Time is absolutely flying by, and this year is officially on fast-forward!

We have a massive week ahead as we gear up for one of our absolute favorite events of the year: our Junior Grandparents Celebration this Friday! 👵👴 We can't wait to welcome all the wonderful grandparents and special friends into our classrooms for an afternoon of smiles, stories, and memory-making.

Plus, a quick reminder that Assemblies are starting back up this week! We're so excited to gather together again, celebrate student achievements, and catch up on everything happening around the school.

Go team! Our girls are heading out to compete in the Divisional Teeball tournament. We know you’ll bring amazing teamwork, sportsmanship, and energy to the field.
🚦 Prep RACV Safety Incursion
Our youngest learners are getting a special visit from the RACV Safety Squad! They will be learning all about vital road, pedestrian, and passenger safety through fun, interactive activities.
