🗣️ Student-Led Learning Conversations
When: Monday & Tuesday
Our students have been working hard and are excited to take the lead! This is a wonderful opportunity for them to share their achievements, show ownership of their education, and discuss their future goals with you.
🏃♂️ Regional Cross Country
Wishing the absolute best of luck to our incredible runners representing St Catherine's at Regionals this week! Run your best, have fun, and make us proud.
🥎 Divisional Girls Teeball
Go team! Our girls are heading out to compete in the Divisional Teeball tournament. We know you’ll bring amazing teamwork, sportsmanship, and energy to the field.
🚦 Prep RACV Safety Incursion
Our youngest learners are getting a special visit from the RACV Safety Squad! They will be learning all about vital road, pedestrian, and passenger safety through fun, interactive activities.
🏆 Grade 3–6 Assembly

Come along and celebrate our students' achievements, PBL awards, and community highlights at our senior assembly.

📆 What’s Happening at St Catherine of Siena: Term 2, Week 8!
Hi families! We have a unique schedule ahead next week with public holidays, staff training, and exciting excursions. Here is your quick guide to what’s coming up:
• Monday, June 8th: 🌟 Public Holiday – School closed. Enjoy the long weekend!
• Tuesday, June 9th: ✏️ Student-Free Day – No school for students. Our staff will be engaging in professional development.
• Thursday, June 11th: 🏛️ Grade 5 Parliament House Excursion – Our Year 5 students are heading off to explore Parliament House!
• Rescheduled Lockdown Drill: 🚨 We will also be conducting our rescheduled practice lockdown drill this week. These drills are a routine part of our safety procedures to ensure everyone knows exactly what to do in an emergency.

This term, the St Catherine of Siena community is coming together to support the Vinnies Winter Appeal—and our incredible Mini Vinnies team is already hard at work creating blankets! 🧵❤️
As the weather cools down, we want to make sure no one in our community is left out in the cold. You can help us make a massive difference!
🧣 How you can help right now: It’s time for a winter cupboard clear-out! We are collecting:
Warm blankets
Coats and jackets
Beanies and scarves
Start gathering your donations, baskets have been placed around the school or drop off at the office.

Term 2, Week 7 is officially here, St Catherine’s community! 🌟
Can you believe we are already over the halfway mark of the term? Time flies when we're learning, growing, and achieving together. We have an incredibly busy and meaningful week ahead.

📅 What’s Happening This Week:
Tuesday: School Lockdown Drill 🛡️ We will be conducting a routine lockdown drill on Tuesday to practice our safety protocols. Please note: We will be unable to facilitate any early student pick-ups while the drill is actively taking place. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in keeping our school safe!
Wednesday: Reconciliation Week Liturgy & AFL Comp 🕊️🏉
We will gather as a school community for our Reconciliation Week Liturgy, taking time to reflect, learn, and walk together toward a shared future.
Our Grade 5/6 students are heading out to represent St Catherine's at the AFL Competition! Lace up those boots and bring your best teamwork, team!
Thursday & Friday: Grade 3 Camp! 🏕️✨ The big days have arrived! Our excited Grade 3 students are heading off to camp this Thursday and Friday. We wish them an unforgettable experience filled with adventure, new friendships, and great memories.

This term, our wonderful Mini Vinnies team is supporting the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. They’ve already been hard at work crafting beautiful blankets to help keep those in need warm this season! 🧵❤️

Brrr! Looking at how frosty and cold the mornings are now, does anyone else remember the amazing weather we had just a few weeks ago for our Walk to School Day? It was the perfect backdrop for a fantastic turnout! 🏃♂️👟
A massive thank you to all of our wonderful families who joined in and wore a splash of red to raise money for Red4veds. Because of your incredible generosity, we raised a brilliant amount for a fantastic cause.

Grade 4 Government Incursion 🏛️ Our Year 4 students will be diving into civics and citizenship with a hands-on learning experience right here at school, exploring how government works!
Friday, 29th May
Prep Excursion: Geelong Arts Centre 🎭 "Here is the blue sheep, and here is the red sheep..." But where is the green sheep? Our Preps are heading off to the Geelong Arts Centre for a magical stage adaptation of the beloved classic.

What an incredible two weeks of Cross Country for our students at Geelong Racecourse!
At Districts, 48 students took on strong competition in tough wet and windy conditions, showing outstanding resilience, determination, and sportsmanship. We are so proud of the way they represented SCoS!
A huge shoutout to our 8 students who qualified for Divisionals and competed against the very best in Geelong yesterday. Fantastic results all round:

This Thursday, our Grade 5 and 6 students will be heading out to compete in the Winter Division Sports. We can’t wait to see your teamwork, sportsmanship, and school pride on full display. Have a fantastic day out there!
🏟️ Senior Athletics at Landy Field (A First for St Cath's!)
History is being made this week! For the very first time, our Senior Athletics carnival is heading to the iconic Landy Field. Our senior students will get the chance to compete on a professional track and field. It’s going to be an unforgettable day of competition, house spirit, and fun!
