Little hands, big learning! ๐งโจ
Montessori water pouring activities are a wonderful way for children to build concentration, coordination, independence, and fine motor skillsโall while having fun! Watching their confidence grow as they carefully pour, transfer, and explore is a beautiful reminder that everyday activities can become meaningful learning experiences. ๐ฑ๐

Everyone Belongs....
At our service, we are committed to creating a positive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, respected, and celebrated for who they are. โค๏ธ
Through stories, meaningful conversations, and reflective activities, we have been exploring themes of acceptance, kindness, and belonging. The children have been encouraged to recognise their own unique qualities and share what makes them special, helping to build a strong sense of self and confidence.
By listening to stories that celebrate diversity and individuality, children are learning to appreciate differences, develop empathy, and understand that our unique qualities make our community stronger.
Together, we are fostering an environment where every child feels safe to be themselves and where inclusion and acceptance are part of everyday learning.
We love watching the children grow in confidence as they learn to speak positively about themselves and celebrate the strengths of others. ๐โจ

Imaginative play....
Who knew a simple cardboard box could inspire so much creativity? ๐ฆโจ Our children transformed a big box into endless imaginative adventures, from castles and cars to secret hideaways. Through open-ended play, theyโre developing problem-solving skills, creativity, communication, and teamworkโall while having so much fun! ๐๐ญ

Today, our children explored addition using the Montessori Addition Strip Board. This hands-on learning experience encouraged them to investigate number combinations, develop problem-solving skills, and build confidence in their mathematical thinking.
By using the coloured strips, the children were able to see and create different addition equations, helping them understand that numbers can be combined in many ways to reach the same answer. The activity fostered concentration, independence, and a love of learning through discovery.
It was wonderful to watch the children challenge themselves, celebrate their successes, and support one another as they explored early mathematical concepts. ๐๐ข

Little Picassos!
Creative art gives children the freedom to explore, imagine, and express themselves in their own unique way. Through art, children learn to create, interpret, and share their impressions of the world around them while building confidence and creativity. Children can also transfer and adapt ideas from other artworks, using visual guidance to inspire their own original creations.
Every masterpiece tells a story โ and there is no right or wrong way to create when imagination leads the way. ๐จโจ

๐คธโโ๏ธโจ Excursion Fun at Gymnastics! โจ๐คธโโ๏ธ
Last Tuesday, our Bambini children had a fantastic time visiting Armidale Gymnastics Club for an exciting excursion filled with climbing, balancing, jumping, swinging, and plenty of fun!
It was wonderful to see the children challenge themselves, build confidence, and develop their gross motor skills in a new environment. Some children eagerly tackled every activity, while others showed great courage by stepping outside their comfort zones and giving something new a try. We were incredibly proud of them all.
A huge thank you to our amazing parent volunteers who generously gave their time to support the excursion.
๐ What a wonderful day of learning, movement, and adventure! ๐

๐ค๐โค๏ธ More Reconciliation Week Activitiesโค๏ธ๐๐ค
As part of our Reconciliation Week celebrations, the children also enjoyed making and tasting damper together.
The children eagerly measured, mixed, kneaded and shaped the dough before watching it bake and enjoying the finished product together.
The children were very proud of their efforts and, judging by the smiles and empty plates, the damper was a big hit! ๐

Reconciliation Week celebrations continued...
Last week for Reconciliation Week, we made Lemon Myrtle biscuits and explored the rich traditions of Bush Tucker. ๐ฟ๐
The lemon myrtle we used came from a Montessori service in Sydney, which some of our educators had the pleasure of visiting during a tour last year. Itโs been wonderful to reconnect with those memories while sharing native Australian flavours and learning experiences with the children.

Reconciliation Week....
Last week for Reconciliation Week, the children explored Dreamtime stories including How the Kangaroo Got Its Tail and How the Birds Got Their Colours. Through these meaningful stories, children learned about Aboriginal culture, storytelling, and traditions.
The children enjoyed creating their own boomerangs, participating in creative arts, and making colourful handprints to celebrate connection, culture, and creativity. โค๏ธ๐ค๐
