Minimbah Aboriginal Preschool Primary School

This morning, our Preschoolers have been very busy in the garden, preparing our vegetable garden ready for spring! 🌱🌼

The children worked alongside Aunty Chloe to prepare and water the soil before carefully planting seeds and plants. Everyone had a wonderful time getting their hands dirty while learning about how we can care for our environment and help our garden grow.

We can’t wait to watch our vegetable garden grow over the coming weeks! 🥕🌿🌻

Yesterday our Puggles and Biggibillas classes celebrated our 100th day of school for 2026! This is a milestone that celebrates all of their achievements and learning so far this year. It also provides our students with a concrete way to understand the number 100. We counted, practiced skip counting and most importantly had fun while we learned!!! Congratulations to all of our students. We are very proud of everything you have achieved this year! 💯 🎈 🎉

This week we were delighted to welcome our new Principal, Kelli, to the Minimbah School community. Kelli joins us with a wealth of educational knowledge, leadership experience, and a genuine passion for supporting children to thrive. Throughout her first week, she has enjoyed spending time getting to know our students and staff, and it has been wonderful to see the warm connections already being made. We are excited for the journey ahead and look forward to working alongside Kelli as we continue to provide the very best opportunities for our children and community. We will be holding an event at the start of August where families will be invited to come in and meet Kelli ... stay tuned for more details!

🧸TEDDY BEAR HOSPITAL🧸
I think we might have some future doctors here at Minimbah! Today we had some university medical students visit some of younger primary friends and some of our Preschoolers for a Teddy Bear Hospital visit. This program provides a valuable opportunity for student doctors to practice interacting with young children. But it also gives our children an opportunity to work with the student doctor to carry out medical procedures on their teddys and stuffed toys to hopefully reduce any fear that children may have around medical environments. This program will be happening over the next few weeks and we are so pleased to be a part of it.

Welcome back to term 3! The preschool children have had a fabulous first day back to the term. They have been very excited about coming back to school. The children have been enjoying the slightly warmer weather outside participating in as much as they can! Inside the Echidna’s room they were very busy using their imagination and creativity skills ready for school next year !
