St Patrick's Parish School - Albury

Today our students had the special opportunity to visit the relic of St Carlo Acutis at St Patrick’s Church. 🙏✨

St Carlo Acutis was an Italian teenager who loved Jesus, the Eucharist and using technology to share his Catholic faith. He died in 2006 at just 15 years old and was canonised as a saint in 2025, becoming known as the patron saint of the internet.

A relic is a physical object or part of a saint’s remains that has a special connection to them. Catholics honour relics because they remind us of the saint’s life, faith and example; helping us to draw closer to God.

📚✨ A Symphony of Stories! 🎶📖

Our Book Week Parade was a wonderful celebration of the stories, characters and books we love! From magical worlds to beloved heroes, our students brought their favourite stories to life with so much creativity and enthusiasm. 🌟

A huge thank you to our wonderful families and staff for helping make the day so special - what a spectacular symphony of stories! ❤️📚

A reminder that today is our Book Week Parade! 📚 👑 🎶
Students are encouraged to dress as a book character.
Our parade will be in the Mercy Hall at 9:15. ⏰
Please, no toy guns!! Any swords/light sabers/weapons are only to be brought out for the parade and must stay in student bags at all other times. 🎒
If your child is wearing an inflatable costume, please make sure they have appropriate clothing underneath when not inflated for the parade.
Closed in, sensible footwear is required also! 👟
We can’t wait to see the pages of books come alive today! 💫

Dear Families,

Friday 4th September, we are holding a small celebration for all the Dad's and awesome male role models in our community!

From 8:15am - 9:30am, please come down to the under cover area near the hall and enjoy a coffee from an onsite coffee van (coffees are at van prices) and if you're one of the first 50 dads - you'll receive a free cinnamon donut!

We will have an AFL footy handball station set up and the students will love versing dads in some games of handball also!

Bring your big smiles, as there will be a photo op area also!

BOOK WEEK IS NEXT FRIDAY !!!

🏉A huge congratulations to Grace of Year 6 who recently represented NSW at the All Schools AFL Nationals. Grace and her team braved the chilling Canberra winds to finish fourth. An amazing achievement. Way to go Grace!! ✨
