As the academic year comes to a close, it is important to recognise all the hard work and perseverance demonstrated by all our students. However, along with the proud feeling that can come from watching your children reach their goals, some nerves can begin to set in on whether or not they are fully prepared for what the next year holds.
Here, at Smooth Sailing Scholastic Tutoring we have taken this into account and now will be providing over-the-holiday academic assessment and educational development sessions.
In our academic assessments we will be able to understand and explore which subjects or academic skills, in which your child is thriving and struggling. This assessment will then help in deciding if your child is in need of educational development. The assessments are an hour long and only $35!!!
If you decide that your child would benefit from our educational development program, we will then book sessions which will involve exploring specific struggles, form academic strategies to overcome said struggles and improve your child’s confidence within their schoolwork.

Hello All,
A few months ago, I moved to a small slice of heaven known as Agnes Water from the busy streets of the Gold Coast. My plan was to tutor the local students while working through my university course online, however, life doesn’t always go the way we plan. As my third year of university ensues, I have been made an ‘essential on campus student’ and thus, must attend my lectures in person on the Gold Coast. This has caused me to make the decision to move back to the Gold Coast for the foreseeable future. It has been a pleasure getting to know and work with all the young bright minds of Agnes Water. I am very thankful for my experience and time in this beautiful, slow-paced and calm piece of Australia.
For the remainder of 2021, I will be taking a hiatus from tutoring to settle into my new home and environment. It has been a few months since I concluded my tutoring in Agnes however, I wanted to have a post on this page for all to see. Once again, thank you to everyone for being so welcoming, kind and engaged with your (or your child’s) education. It has been a pleasure.

Term two has finally kicked off and we hope that everyone has had a fun first week back!
If you would like extra academic support for your child, we are available for after school tutoring for Junior, Middle and Senior School Students.
We consist of 2 tutors:
Colby Chalmers, works with Middle School and Senior School Students. However, he only tutors Math and Science subjects for Senior Students and covers all subjects for Middle school students.
Cassi-Dee Muller, who works with Junior, Middle and Senior School students, however, she only tutors English and Humanity subjects for Senior Students and covers all subjects for Junior and Middle school students.
