Reconciliation, Rebrand, Refresh, Renew! Halifax Early Learning is here. New name but same sense of Being, Belonging, and Becoming that this Centre has been dedicated to for 116 years. So many to thank! Friends and families of Halifax both past and present, Tanya from ACC, Uncle John, the Honourable Lucy Hood MP, Rebecca Haynes from the Office for Early Childhood Development, the Halifax Early Learning Management Committee, current staff and more! What a wonderful community we belong to in our Adelaide CBD. 💚

We are SO fortunate to have Lucy Hood MP & Uncle John (our much-loved Kaurna Elder) with us this morning! Both are our good friends and we are very grateful for their support. 🖤💛❤️

Our Yarapurla children (4-year-olds) recently enjoyed an exciting adventure to Hahndorf Farm Barn! 🐑🐐🐓

This wonderful learning experience grew from the children’s mapping project and provided opportunities for hands-on exploration and discovery. The children loved meeting the animals, feeding them, and learning more about life on the farm.

It was a day filled with curiosity, excitement, and joyful learning experiences shared together! 🌿🚜✨

Today, Clare (Centre Director) and Gilda (Assistant Director) attended the Flying Start Leaders Forum 3: From Intention to Impact.

It was a fantastic opportunity to network with many passionate service leaders and collaborate with our wonderful colleagues Alex and Jane from Grey Ward Children's Centre.

We were incredibly fortunate to hear from the inspiring Anthony from Semann & Slattery, whose insights challenged and motivated us to continue striving for meaningful impact in early childhood education.

We also left feeling inspired after listening to Kim Little, Chief Executive of the Office for Early Childhood Development, speak about the future vision and commitment to children, families, and communities.

A valuable day of learning, reflection, and connection that will continue to influence our practice and leadership moving forward.

Happy Mothers Day to every version of motherhood out there. A day to celebrate and remember the sacrifices made for all children. Grandmothers, Aunties, Friends, Teachers and Mummies. We are mothers to many. Sending hugs to all.

We look forward to welcoming children back when we reopen on Tuesday 7th April at 7:45am.

On Tuesday evening we hosted I Can Jump Puddles, Sam and Annie to deliver professional development to our staff team, in collaboration with Grey Ward Children’s Centre.

Staff from both Centre’s learned about the Pyramid Model and explored strategies to support smoother transitions and routines for our children.

This was the first of many networking opportunities with our friends at Grey Ward Children's Centre, and we look forward to continuing to learn and grow together.
