Here is a charming story about Echidna research in South Australia. The Echidna is one of only two surviving monotreme species. What is so special about monotremes? These are mammals that lay eggs. That's pretty special.
If English is not your first language, you may not be familiar with "s**t", mentioned several times in the article. To put it plainly, these are the poo pellets left behind when the echidna goes to the toilet.🙂

Technology that allows amateur wildlife enthusiasts to record echidna movements is advancing research into the curious egg-laying mammal.

Happy to report that Room 2 at UNIShare Pooraka is restored to better than new after the Christmas disaster which saw the ceiling bulge and then collapse, soaked though by the air conditioning unit which had sprung a leak. Fortunately the room was vacant for the summer vacation (on the other hand, if it had not been empty, we might have seen the stain on the ceiling before it became a bulge and came crashing through!)
Thanks to my favourite builder, Ryan of TeamRG for another job well done!
