I grew up practical, grounded, and deeply connected to the real world. A no-nonsense country girl who needed things to make sense.

This photo used to make me smile for one reason.

Now it makes me smile for a completely different one.

That sticky note was a joke.

A fun way to announce my first pregnancy. “No wine until October.”

But somewhere between becoming a mum and doing the inner work… something shifted in me.

I stopped drinking.

Not because someone told me to.

Not from guilt or shame.

But because I genuinely started listening to my body, really listening , and it was telling me something I’d been too conditioned to hear before.

When you start to understand what’s beneath the surface, your choices change without force.

That’s not willpower. That’s alignment.

The woman back then was just beginning to find her way back to herself.
