Pembroke Old Scholars FC

Pembroke Old Scholars FC AdFL Club Pembroke Old Scholars joined the league in 1932 under the guise of Kings Old Collegians.

The club represented the old scholars of Kings College located at the Parade, which is now the home ground of the club. Due to the merger of Kings College and Girton Girls School in 1974 to form Pembroke School, the club changed its name to Pembroke Old Scholars in 1978. From 1990 the nickname "Kings" was adopted to acknowledge the history of the club.

Congratulations to Luke “Lovers” Lovelock on bringing up 50 games for the Kings!

Since joining us in 2023, Lovers has been a favourite amongst the group.

A dominant key defender, but an even better bloke, we are so happy to see the Liver King reach 50 games for the Club.

To make the day even better, he is debuting in the A Grade!!!

A massive congratulations to Venkha Sivashanker for reaching 200 games for the Kings and being awarded Life Membership with POSFC.

A true clubman, Venks joined us after graduating in 2014 and hasn’t missed a season since.

In that time he has won two premierships for the A Grade in 2022 and B Grade in 2020 (the former he was named 3rd best for the day), and served many years on the Club Board.

His clean skills and defensive smarts has kept him playing at a highly consistent and competitive level for over a decade. But he is a committed member of the Club off the ground too, continually living by the Club’s core value of mateship.

For a man who doesn’t like the spotlight, it is a special moment for the Club to celebrate Venks who has given this community so much of his time.

A leader of troops in the mighty Glamours, Macko is always a man we can rely on.

Recently getting his debut in the B Grade, he is a proven competitor that is never afraid to put his body on the line.

A dominant tall down back, the Fruitman has been a key leader in the B Grade since joining us from school in 2023.

While he loves big games on the field, he is always a good performer off it too. It’s always a good time while Fruit’s around!
