If you live in or near Rosewater, Ottoway, Gillman or Pennington or know someone who does, there is a public meeting organised by Joe Szakacs MP & Close MP to present the latest information about the "Rosewater Loop" on Saturday 15th Feb at 10.30 @ the Bowling and Social Club 134 Grand Junction Rd, Rosewater - enter via Kelmscott St. The Loop is comprised of a disused rail spur and the former Gillman rail marshalling yards. A local group GreeningRosewaterLoop.au has formed to try to finally get this land rehabilitated and turned into useful community space - we might get to plant a host of butterfly habitat plants (as well as habitat for birds, bees, bats, lizards etc) as well as recreational, social and educational features.
