My Story

Hello!
I’m Grace, I'm a 20yr old originally from the Adelaide Hills, but I now live in the city for University. I am in my first year at Flinders studying Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Special Needs Education) / Bachelor of Disability Studies.

I spent 2016 living in London, au-pairing and gaining experience as a child minder. In my first role abroad I was looking after two little girls under 3, and in my second I was working at a wonderful nursery (child care centre) whilst maintaining a live-in nanny role for a 12 year old girl. Since arriving home, I have privately nannied for three seperate families; two families who had one-year-old twin boys, and one who had a single one-year-old boy, as well as maintaining my babysitting services.

I have a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Senior First Aid Certificate, DCSI Child - Screening Clearance, DCSI Vulnerable-People Screening Clearance, DCSI Aged-Care Screening Clearance, Reporting Abuse and Neglect in Education and Care Setting Certificate, Certificate of Attendance for SIDS and Kids South Australia Safe Sleeping Information Session, I am a Registered Carer and have an ABN. I can also provide my resume, and references from both professional and private capacities.

I am mature, hard-working, resilient and capable. I acknowledge the great responsibility of caring for children, and I believe that my work and life experiences thus far have developed in me the skills and qualities required.

I am bubbly and warm-natured, and offer a fun, firm but fair approach to child-care. My many years of babysitting experience, coupled with my recent of child-minding in a professional capacity, have well-equipped me to provide the care and support children require to develop physically, socially and emotionally.
